We chose to stay here as we had friends from Denmark with us, thought they may appreciate a bit of the Aussie outback! That we got. Accommodation very basic, bit cold to have showers & cold to run to the loo in the middle of the night! meals in the outdoor restaurant were basic, but plenty. Sitting in the bar... More

I opted to stay here instead of the more traditional fancy resort hotels. The Curtin Spring Cattle Station is about 45 minute drive from Ayers Rock airport. You need to rent a car as other transportation is not really available. This is a simple wayside inn, a bit old fashion, but quiet. Rooms are in buildings similar to individual mobile... More

Had a great stay, good meals, cold beer, particularly COOPERS fine ales, and warm hospitality way out bush. Heaps of history interpreted in where you can share meals and meet travellers from not only around Australia, but the World!

Friendly backpacker staff but the owner needs to learn that it is not a great look to have a go at them about being too slow to pick up the phone, in front of paying customers. Yes he may have a legitimate concern, but do it privately.

Hi Michael, yes, you are absolutely correct, that conversation with staff should have been had in private (as had been done). The rounds of the table that I then had with the boss later that evening (and again after getting your review) was done privately. More

One of only a few stops along the Lasseter highway between stuart highway and Uluru. Bathrooms were rustic but clean, and free. The story of the ranch was neat to read. Food prices were a bit steep from the café, even considering how remote the location. I did order some of their sausages to go – apparently made from their... More

Thank you Marieatta for putting up your review. Thank you for acknowledging the work the team is doing in keeping amenities clean during this busy time of the year. I'm sorry you didn't think our meals were good value for money and I'm glad you enjoyed the sausages. The birds are a lovely attraction and at the moment we have... More

A unique stopover before Uluru NT. You get a real feel for the value of perseverance against environment and the bureaucracy. A chat with Peyer Severin is an experience not to be missed - most nights after 5 pm! The tucker is top notch and camping free. The view of Mt Connor makes the Rock a bit ho-hum.

What can I say - John R is obviously a man after our own heart. Thank you for understanding and appreciating our amazing home and how we have chosen to share it with visitors. Spending time with Peter is a real honour every day and visitors enjoy the story sessions and a cold beer. We absolutely agree - the ever... More

We had 3 nights with a powered site, way over priced at $40, with no water access and only 2 showers per gender for the camp area plus any itinerant that wanders in. Thats 2 showers for over 100 + people. Toilets stunk and service all passing trade headed in and out of Yulara, that's about 400 or more people... More

Thank you Lovista for taking the time out of holiday to put up a review. I'm sorry we couldn't meet your expectations during your stay. We offer two different options in the campground - powered sites that do have a charge on them or unpowered sites which are free. Visitors can then chose which is more suitable or affordable for... My wife and I stayed for two nights 19th 20th June. We are from New Zealand in a hire car. The food was good, staff very friendly and units very clean. We thought it excellent compared to the alternative very expensive Ayers Rock resort and Yulara complex nearer the Rock. It's in the outback and another experience.

Nice morning tea served in the best fine china!!! (tin cups) a real aussie experience. Homemade jam drops and a nice cake not sure wether this was homemade or not. Owner was very informative and gave a short talk on the workings of Curtin Springs, showing photos etc. We were on a tour that was cancelled.

Thanks Jengar11 for taking the time to post a review. I know that your day was disrupted by the (very welcome from our point of view) rain, when a tour you were on had to be cancelled. Even though the tour was not one that we manage, I thought it was important to spend a few minutes with you and... More

We spent 2 nights here whilst visiting Uluru. The room is not very large and has no TV or cooking facilities, it does have tea/coffee making facilities. The shower was very good and the reverse cycle air conditioner was nice and quiet. Free WiFi was available but only worked close to reception and was extremely slow. There is no mobile... More
