Stayed here with our teenage kids! Love hiking snd seeing the wild wallabies and renting a boat for an hour to see crocs! Saw more Crocs on our own than the Corroborree wetlands tour which was nice but definitely more enjoyable if you're really a big bird watcher. Didn't want to take the touristy jumping crocs tour though. Liked our... More

Mary River Retreat was extremely well run with lots of activities on their 900 acre property. The wildlife diversity and quantity here was greater than anywhere else we have stayed at this side of Perth. Equivalent with El Questro as our favourite places to stay in the north west of Australia.

Delightfully situated caravan park with fantastic grassed areas and lots of shade, large sites. Great place just sit back, unwind and chill out. Amenities a bit ordinary but clean. Would love to stay there again.

We stayed here for a night in early July for a friends wedding. The cabins were clean and comfortable, the staff were friendly and the grounds were beautiful. It was such an experience to drive an hour out of Darwin to this lovely and peaceful retreat. Lots of birds, nice swimming pools and walking tracks. Can hire bikes or golf... More

We had one night here as didn't want to drive to Kakadu straight from the airport. Could easily have stayed longer. The reception lady was so helpful. Gave us a good overview of things to do, inc night campfire with marshmallows, which often aren't allowed but they had special pits. The line map she gave us was the only one... More

We were part of a 4 day package staying at the resort. The bungalows were beautifully appointed with very comfortable beds. Continental breakfast was adequate, with the cooked beautiful. Set night meals were generous, there may be different menus for other guests. At the resort there is a river cruise, the sunset one was spectacular for photographs. There are buggies... More

Stayed here at the end of a long day out at Kakadu. Room was clean and functional. Service at check in was sound but nothing great...had booked via their website so had all details including our money. I just think that over $200 for a demountable "donger" is a bit rich; I don't think I'll be back....sorry...!!!

We had a nice and shady caravan site, the amenities are clean and quite good. The whole area is very quiet and peaceful, the pool is small but adequate for the amount of people that were there at the time. The walks are good but need to be better signed as we went to do the 3klm Bamboo walk and... More

The missus booked this for my bday as a weekend getaway. Nice drive in, checked in and Robin on front counter greeted us with an extremely bubbly welcome! Great start. Self made pizza night Friday, so if the pizza is bad...it had to be your fault! Footy Beers n Pizza, good Friday! The rooms were very spacious and clean, we... More

We visited Mary River Resort for a nice 3 day getaway and really enjoyed our time there. With it only being about 90 minutes outside of Darwin it's a quick place to relax. We stayed at one of the pool cabins. Very quant, clean and plenty of room for 2. The pool was refreshing and clean. We also hired a... More
