We stayed for two weeks, and for what we paid we both felt the room quality and servicing was poor. The good news is that location was only one one block away from central city train and bus terminals. The bad news is that our room was in generally poor shape. Here's a summary of what we noticed: * Our... More

We stayed two nights whilst visiting Sydney. Apartments are right in the heart of Sydney, just a few minutes walk to Sydney harbour. Apartments were spacious , clean and had everything we needed. Some apartments in building were privately owned and had local people living in them, which was great as it was nice and quiet Would highly recommend these... More

My son and daughter in law booked this for 5 nights but didn't stay for 1! When we arrived we had to ask where the cots was, when it arrived it didn't have a mattress!! How can a young child sleep on this!! The place was dirty especially the bathroom, kitchen and laundry. The bathmat had holes in it! Not... More

Terrifying for anyone who expects a night of sleep. York St is the exit from the harbour bridge and just past Wyndham Station. A popular bus and taxi thoroughfare. This popular '80's place was left behind in the rush to 2014. You are in a time machine here without the maintenance one would expect. Although some people rate this clean,... More

My family and I have just spent 5 nights at the Carrington and have to say it was excellent value for money. Such a big spacious apartment with everything you need and more. The best thing is its location, right in the centre of town and an easy short walk to everything. Will be staying here again on our next... More

After two weeks of moving out and about in Sydney hotels for our 6 weeks stay, this was absolutely our home away from home. Arrived earlier than check in time and met the owner with our temporary room being cleared and cleaned which was nice, but took a day before the detergent smell went away. Walking distance to commercial offices,... More

The only good thing about these apartments is the great central location. They are overpriced for the condition they are in and are smelly and in need of a complete refurbish . The on site manager told us that this was due to take place soon. Would only stay again when the refurbish was complete if the price was ok.

I don't know whether I was more afraid of the poorly locking windows, the pre-cold war Russian decor or the abundance of scary wildlife. I am going to sleep with a can of mortein and a steak knife fully clothed tonight! Suggest only those with a strong constitution should venture here. In my shower is a jagged broken soap dish... Went to Sydney with 2 friends (a married couple) and wanted a two bedroom apartment rather than two hotel rooms. We wanted to spend more on seeing the sites, eating out and shopping than the hotel so we booked a budget 2 room apartment at the Carrington Apartments. We arrived just after 9.00am and were able to leave our suitcases... More

Staying in Central Business District

Neighborhood Profile
Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.
