Hotel is on a great location 5 mins walk from King's Cross Station, rooms are a good size with good air con ,bed is very comfortable, gym access to the gym next door anytime fitness is excellent used this every other day , room carpet not the best stains on the carpet not cleaned up, tea bags not replenished everyday had to keep asking for them to be replenished, no in house dining facilities or bar available
We booked this property based on the website images and description..and it was NOT as pictured. The rooms are very dated and need maintenance. This is a basic 3 star property being sold as a 5 star boutique property. The towel holder in the shower almost came off the wall when we took a towel off, the roller blinds only went full up or fully down, there was a hole in the carpet and tiles damaged in the bathroom. The lighting is terrible as well and the terrace furniture is nothing like pictured on the website. There are much better properties in Sydney to stay in. Only plus side is location and the beds are comfortable.
This is our second stay at the Larmont, and it was just as good as the first! It was the perfect location to visit our family in bondi junction, the train was only 10 minutes and we were there. All of the staff we met were very friendly, we will be back again
The Larmont has some distinguishing features both good and bad. It is marketed as a five-star hotel but it would be better described as a upmarket boutique hotel. On the plus side, it is a wonderful location in Potts Point and a very short walk to Kings Cross stations. This means that it is in a residential neighbourhood near the nightlife districts but just one stop on the train to the middle of Sydney. There are hundreds of restaurants and cafes within walking distance. Another positive of the hotel is that it is located above Anytime Fitness and hotel guests get free 24/7 access to a full and proper gym. Other than that, the hotel has no other facilities. No restaurants in house which is not really a problem other than there being no breakfast at the hotel available. There is also no hotel room service however there is a menu of a number of local restaurants that will deliver to the hotel. In the era of delivery on demand, this is less of an issue. There is no pool etc. The rooms themselves are relatively spacious however look about 15 year old. They are not yet tired but they are on the way. The bed was one of the most comfortable hotel beds I can remember and the toiletries provided were quite nice. For a tourist visiting Sydney the Larmont is probably a very good choice.…
I had the best stay at the Larmont and kept extending my dates! The location is so fantastic amongst the gorgeous tree lines restaurants, bars and cafe filled streets of Potts Point. There isn’t a bar but the mini bar is so well stocked and the room service menu is from the great local restaurants which I regularly ate at. The Right next door is a brilliant gym with 24 free access via the hotel and supermarkets, ATM’s, laundry services and essentials all within a 2 minute walk. The General Manager Rhys runs a tight ship with a fantastic team always eager to help with any requests no matter how bizarre and what ever the time (24hrs reception)! I needed a large car booked last minute at 3am to collect me 2 hours later and this was no problem at all to sort out. The rooms are large and the beds one of the most comfortable I’ve ever slept in. I did A LOT of sleeping at the Larmont and I can not wait to return. THANK YOU team Larmont!…
This was my second stay at Larmont and both times I felt so at home. The staff are wonderful and warm, always happy to help. Particular shoutout to Riella who was lovely and who I saw several times during my stay. The location is fantastic, I walked down to Rushcutters bay for some lunch, as per Caitlin's recommendation. It was a 10 min walk, so nice and close, and I enjoyed a quiet afternoon in the blissful sun, amongst the yachts in the bay. My room was perfect, overlooking the bustling city. It was the ideal spot for me to get ready before an event, and the bed and pillows were the BEST to come home to after a big night out. Cannot wait for my next stay! <3
Absolutely horrendous and entirely misleading. The website and description of the hotel and even the photos are nothing like the reality. And it’s no way 5 star luxury. The website description states LUXURY, and the price we paid was not cheap( $400 p/night on a special deal)-It’s like a run down old motel ( maybe). Oh my goodness. Is there enough space to even describe the issues?!firstly the lobby is awful- it’s partly an office building and that’s exactly how it feels. 1. Dirty balcony, no plants or chairs as per website photo.2. Pillows not on bed, sheets not ironed, bed not made properly. 3. Only 1 teacup, 2 mismatched glasses, coffee machine does not work, door falling off mini bar cabinet. 4. Carpet around edges grubby and bathroom barely passable. Nowhere to hang towels or put anything in bathroom. Definitely can’t put on makeup in the bathroom as there’s no light! 5. Air con SO loud 6. Paint chips and messy paint on wall, mould around the edges of corners, chunks of plaster out of the wall, back of door damaged 7. Apparently they do not have cups ( only glasses so you have to have tea and coffee in a wine glass) 8. Room not serviced and when we asked them to come they gave us 1 towel, ( between 2 people), had to ask for another and they said making the bed for us was not included….I could honestly go on and on! It’s a laugh- something to be able to tell a story about when we get home! In summary- not recommended. !!!…
The reception staff were very polite and the room came with complementary chocolates which was a nice touch. However, there were a few things that made our stay less than enjoyable. Despite asking for our room to be cleaned every day (this was directly requested and acknowledged at the reception), several days we came back and found that our room had not been serviced. The bed was much too soft and provided no back support. Plus the sheets were done up in such a weird way—the duvet is merely sandwiched between two white sheets, not inside an actual duvet cover—so essentially any movement would uncover the inside of the duvet itself, which I can only assume is not regularly cleaned. We found this to be prevalent in Australia, but have never seen it in any other country we’ve travelled to. Without the aforementioned housekeeping, it was impossible to sleep comfortably with the sheets. There were also some details in the room that lowered the quality of our stay: - Apple TV did not work, and someone only came to fix it two days later. Even then, the connection was bad (you’d have to reconnect your phone every few mins) - The black out shades were really difficult to pull back up. We basically ended up living without windows for the last few days of our stay - Fixtures like the tap on the sink were loose and needed better maintenance Hoping that our feedback is helpful for the team.…
The staff are so friendly and accomodating. They went above and beyond what we asked for. The hotel room was spacious, the views incredible and nothing was too difficult to arrange. The check in and late night staff were amazing. We needed extra items and they were no trouble to get.
The staff were some of the most friendly I had ever encountered. I got a room upgrade and a nice bottle of wine to celebrate my birthday they made me feel very special. The view from the harbour view room was amazing. Also, the bed was honestly so amazingly comfortable I want one for my house. If you like a bed that feels like you are sleeping on clouds this is the hotel for you. Will definitely stay there again for all my future trips to Sydney.
