Stayed 2 nights and loved the place - nice rooms and great staff. Hotel has a community guest kitchen which is very useful for both tea/coffee or cooking a meal. Hotel is opposite the Chinatown light rail stop (connections to Central Station with points west such as the Fish Markets).
Great location and the interior design make good use of the original building. The rooms are excellent, clean and comfortable. Some of the hall carpets are threadbare, however it looks like they're in the process of replacing these. The location is brilliant! The front door is on George St near a light rail stop, but the rear exit deposits you smack bang in the middle of China Town!!! The best thing about this hotel? you can access the roof top and enjoy the view of the surrounding Sydney CBD buildings, awesome!
Stayed in a twin room with a friend for 3 nights. Fairly basic room but sufficiently clean and everything we needed for a short stay. No noise levels during the night so we had good sleep. Great location with the tram stop right outside for ease of getting to places. We didn't need to use the kitchen or lounge area but it looked clean and welcoming. I would definitely stay in this hotel again and recommend it.
I stayed in this lovely hotel on my recent trip to Sydney. Location was perfect for me...light rail at the door! Great size for one person. I got there early & was able to enter my room. Staff were helpful and friendly.
Okay, so the carpet is a little threadbare in some places and the stairs are super creaky, but this place is great value for money. Our room on the 3rd floor was spacious enough for our overnight stay, the bed was soft but comfy and the air conditioning nice and cold. There was some early street noise but it died down quickly. Would most definitely return 👌
