This hotel is okay if you're just sleeping there you wouldn't want to spend much more time in the room. The entrance isn't where it says on the internet so you have to lug your luggage up a huge flight of stairs. There is no parking which is a pain for this area and the TV and fan in our... More

What a fab stay my 2 children and I had. We had 2 nights at Ibis and was impressed by the renovated room and the gorgeous view from our 6th floor window. The queen bed very comfortable although the sofa bed very uncomfortable for my 12 yr old son. Great spot to access Sydney public transport and to get around... More

Came here last minute after leaving the first hostel we had booked in to because it was so awful..so this hotel was like heaven compared and was an even cheaper price! Beds are really comfy and rooms are clean. Basic but all you need and great value for the price. Staff were also very pleasant. Only slight issue is that... More

Perfect for budget accommodation. Great location, Good sized room, Friendly staff, Own bathroom, T.V, Mini fridge, Air con, WiFi. There is no shower curtain so water would go all over the bathroom floor but that is just nit picking. Was perfect for a 1 night stay.

I have been staying in this hotel many years. Yesterday I arrived to stay once again and couldnt believe how modern this hotel now is. Fridge and Tea making facilities in rooms, new beds, linen, lighting, ask for a harbour Bridge/Opera House view. Normally after an upgrade of this quality, prices jump. I did not find this. Reception staff are... More

booked and stayed with my wife at Ibis mainly because of the location and also the tariff was very competitive. The room itself appeared to have been refurbished but still was very basic. No power point in bathroom, no hairdryer, soap only supplied coffee was very basic. Woke up this morning at 4.00am to staff knocking on at least 3... More

For a really convenient place to dump your bags, clean up, get some sleep and explore the area without blowing the finances this Ibis Budget is what it is - simple but practical. Unless you are planning a holiday in your room, this was an ideal end of a road trip with a day/two nights to kill before flying out... More

The room and bathroom were clean and the bed was very comfortable. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Car access is difficult, but foot entry from Williams st, once found, was easy. Only drawback was the fact that a tour group on my floor had an early start and their noise carried into my room.

Friendly staff, Entrance is bit confusing. There is a stairs from the main road. However, main entrance different and hidden. If you are travelling from a taxi be aware and ask the drver to drop you from main entrance, not from the side entrance from the main road. Otherwise you have to climb the stairs with all your luaggage. Breakfast... More

Staying in Darlinghurst

Neighborhood Profile
Darlinghurst
Home of the small bar revolution in Sydney, Darlinghurst has more bars per capita than any other suburb. Themes range from American whiskey bars and 1950’s theme bars to hidden bars requiring secret passwords. Oxford Street is the "Gay Capital" of Australia, where gay and lesbian-friendly venues feature “diva shows” and dancing until the morning. Vintage lovers flock to Crown Street, and small designer boutiques can be found along Victoria and Bourke Streets. Dining in Darlinghurst is a gastronomic adventure. Food from all over the world is on the menu, from American ribs to tapas, sushi to gelato and every ethnicity in between.
