Myself and 2 friends went to Sydney to attend a function. So we knew our days would be long, and we would hardly be at the hotel anyway. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the beds and bathroom were clean.

One of tiniest rooms I have ever stayed in but if you are only there for 2 days like we were then you'll hardly ever be in your room so it doesn't really matter. Really handy for kings cross station and food options. Watch out for cockroaches in the bathroom though!

If you are on a hectic trip to Sydney and need a budget place just to sleep, then this is perfect. I was travelling with a friend and asked for twin bed room, but only bunk beds were available. But as we only needed the room for a week we took it. Basic bare minimum amenities. Stones throw away from... More

We booked a double bed and bunks for a family of four. Our daughters don't sleep well together, so we were pleased to find a room with double bunks. When we arrived, we discovered that contrary to our booking, only a double with sofa bed was available. The girls didn't sleep well and kept us all up during the night... More

This is a budget hotel and I wasn't expecting something other than budget. Everything about the experience seemed to work well. - price was budget - Check-in was easy and friendly - Rooms and bathrooms were clean. - Main Bed comfortable. Sofa bed was a fold out and adequate size. - Air cond worked fine. - 2 X TV were... More

I recently spent two nights there. That was the most awful experience I've ever had. The fan of air conditioner did not function well, it made noises all night long. I barely slept in the first night. We requested them to fix it on the next morning. But it was not fixed at all and it made all noises like... More

This hotel is okay if you're just sleeping there you wouldn't want to spend much more time in the room. The entrance isn't where it says on the internet so you have to lug your luggage up a huge flight of stairs. There is no parking which is a pain for this area and the TV and fan in our... More

What a fab stay my 2 children and I had. We had 2 nights at Ibis and was impressed by the renovated room and the gorgeous view from our 6th floor window. The queen bed very comfortable although the sofa bed very uncomfortable for my 12 yr old son. Great spot to access Sydney public transport and to get around... More

Came here last minute after leaving the first hostel we had booked in to because it was so awful..so this hotel was like heaven compared and was an even cheaper price! Beds are really comfy and rooms are clean. Basic but all you need and great value for the price. Staff were also very pleasant. Only slight issue is that... More

Perfect for budget accommodation. Great location, Good sized room, Friendly staff, Own bathroom, T.V, Mini fridge, Air con, WiFi. There is no shower curtain so water would go all over the bathroom floor but that is just nit picking. Was perfect for a 1 night stay.

Thank Josh W

Staying in Darlinghurst

Neighborhood Profile
Home of the small bar revolution in Sydney, Darlinghurst has more bars per capita than any other suburb. Themes range from American whiskey bars and 1950’s theme bars to hidden bars requiring secret passwords. Oxford Street is the "Gay Capital" of Australia, where gay and lesbian-friendly venues feature “diva shows” and dancing until the morning. Vintage lovers flock to Crown Street, and small designer boutiques can be found along Victoria and Bourke Streets. Dining in Darlinghurst is a gastronomic adventure. Food from all over the world is on the menu, from American ribs to tapas, sushi to gelato and every ethnicity in between.
