Was looking for a pub lunch and a cold drink after an appointment in the city.... After walking past a couple of pubs because they were empty we wandered into The Crown as it had a few people in the dining room. Casual and exactly what we wanted. A good meal at a good price. Hubby got the burger and... More

Average food, nice staff, average prices. It was what it was, I had a Parma that was on the small side, cooked well though. Chips were well cooked, no complaints at all. The Greek salad was very ordinary, pretty much just diced cucumber. Staff very friendly

We decided to do lunch at the spur of the moment, so someone suggested the Crown Hotel because they offer $12 lunch specials. That sounds good enough reason for me. The level 2 dining room is relatively comfortable and the service is quite quick. The $12 special of the day is rump steak with fries. The quality and the portion... More

Was down in Sydney for a week and caught up with a mate that I went to university with. The place was busy inside, so it was good to sit in the outside area and have a few beers and a chat. what can I say the beer was cold and the staff were friendly. A great little pub for... More

I found the Crown in 2013 when I was looking for a meal within walking distance of the Travelodge. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food and the friendly service. This last trip I stayed at the Best Western Stellar and headed back to the Crown for a meal. The service was good, the servings were more... More

Had the spaghetti bolognese..nice and tasty...the only thing i was disappointed about was they dont sell the traditional pub meal of bangers and mash..but thay have a wide selection of other meals. This pub has free coffee and snacks for pokie players. Friendly staff.

Walked in after looking for somewhere to eat, ended going up stairs and stayed although I think it was a better atmosphere down stairs. Staff were friendly and attentive. The two meals ordered were chicken snitzel with veggies, mash and gravy- veggies was alright but chicken was deep fried mad a bit dry (this from friend who ate with me)... More

Travelling with a group of 10 looking for a late night meal we hesitantly walked up stairs to the bistro. What a surprise. The beer selection and prices were good and the menu contained something for everyone, GF and vege included. Our group ended up eating there for 3 nights.

Staying in Central Business District

Neighborhood Profile
Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.
