A decent and clean place to stay in for a short stay as the rooms are quite small, however the location is right in the heart of the city where it is close to the central station and all the major city attractions. Plus the staff are very friendly and helpful. All in all, I would defiantly visit again as...

Although our booking was made through Discover Australia more than six months previously, we were assigned a room you couldn't swing a cat in. On the hotel's website it was called a "Shoebox". Aptly named! Eventually we were given a better room for three of our five night stay, but then were moved to another room. This had less room...

Dear _jumaha5, Thank you for reviewing our hotel but I am disappointed to hear that your experience did not meet your expectations; please allow me to express my sincerest apologies. Being a heritage listed building, there are certain development limits that we need to adhere to. However, we do have other room types that provide more spaces for our guest....

My partner and I stayed in a shoebox room for 4 nights in January. The room was very tight as expected from a shoebox room but wasn't much of an issue for us as we spent a lot of time out of the hotel anyway. The room itself was clean and modern, with a comfortable bed and a good bathroom....

Stayed here towards the end of the January School Holidays with my young son for 4 nights. I appreciated my room request being considered being well away from the lift and with twin beds. This was somewhat overshadowed by housekeeping using the adjacent fire stairs as a thoroughfare so there was quite a bit of door slamming and heavy footsteps...

Good value. Location was perfect for us as we were traveling the next day. Walking distance from the train station and surrounded by restaurants and convenience stores. Reception was pleasant to deal with. Room was okay, had everything we needed.

This hotel is just a short walk from the Train Station and ideal for our needs as we travelled north by train in Jan 2017. The hotel is a refurbished hotel with a old exterior. Reasonable modern inside, but the rooms....are small, not as small as those I have stayed in in Paris, but... . The mattresses must have been...

Fantastic stay for my friend and I. We booked a room with a double bed which can be separated into 2 single beds. The room was clean, a good size for a couple of nights and service was good. Only problem was that we requested our bed to be separated into two single beds prior to our check in day,...

Was transiting in Syd on my way to Canberra. Helpful check in and check out. Room is tiny! But it was just fine for a one night stay. Food near by, Rain shower is great and bed is comfy. Not bad for the location and for a short stay. But with two suitcases I barely had room to move and...

Got this room late notice and was pretty cheap. Second time I've stayed and had not been a problem. Good service, rooms are clean and tidy. Very old building but has been refurbished. It looks like the management has spent and is spending some money on renovation and maintenance, however it does not do much- the hotel still looks shabby, not well maintained, not clean. The rooms are quite small, especially the showers, the floors are squeaky and the neighbors can be heard (poor sound proofing). An OK place if you need to...

Staying in Central Business District

Neighborhood Profile
Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.
