A quick night stay at the Vulcan, which I had never heard of before. One reason booking there was seeing a show at the Capitol theatre, it seemed closish and had a reasonable parking rate at UTS parking station. We never managed to find that (if staying get good directions) but found meter parking opposite hotel (free 7.00 pm to 8.00 am). Building had a charm to it, small rooms and only double bed but clean and comfortable. 10-15 minutes walk to downtown. I’d stay again

Had to stay here for a business trip, great staff, spacious rooms, excellent position yet never felt really busy. Will return there if I get the opportunity much prefer the ambiance of this boutique hotel to the sterility of the larger, multinational hotels

I had a very good stay at The Vulcan. The family run hotel where you can chat to the owners is unique. The room I had was quiet and the bed comfy. The location is very handy to Sydney and Ultimo has enough attraction as well with Asian food outlets, Whit Rabbit Gallery, cinema and a shopping centre all close.
