This room was undergoing a renovation when I stayed, so it was very loud and dusty during the morning and later into the day. There was only one bathroom for the entire floor, but it never really seemed occupied, so not a huge issue. The rooms were very clean and organized. There wasn't enough outlets near the bunks, but there... More

Pros - Good security (front door requires a security code after 10pm which is changed daily) - Friendly and helpful checkin - Comfy bed - Good location with bus stop close to hostel entrance (and light rail a short walk away) - Good local cafes, bakeries and small shops - Great local market on Saturdays - Good value, the amount... I stayed here for a week and loved everything about this hostel! This clean and cosy hostel is located in a quiet and beautiful neighbourhood. The bus stop is just opposite to the hostel and it will take you to the heart of the city in about 20 minutes. The hostel has a well-equipped kitchen where you can cook if... More

I stayed here for 4 nights. Affordable price. Clean and secure hostel. After 10pm, we are required to put security code to enter the hostel and this number is changed everyday. Friendly reception staff, well equipped kitchen. Free wifi is available in the common area. This is located in a place called Glebe, about 15min away from Sydney CBD, close... More

I stayed there for 6 nights in a 4 bed female dorm. My room was filthy but I guess it depends on your roommates because I came back there for another night and that time I was in a different room and it was really clean. Kitchen is small, which makes it easy to socialize. I had a lot of... More

I have been here for a few times already because it has a good price-performance value, the facilities are clean and the staff friendly. But! And here comes the point: my room mates were the filthiest I've met so far; it was stinky and dirty in my room, everywhere was rubbish and it smelled sweaty. I told the receptionist and... More

In a subort, a good fine YHA close to theCity. 15 min to fishmarket, silent in night, good service and nice crew. Late Arriving from airport, after 11 pm, no problem to check in, the rest of booking next day in the morning. Great, clean and supportet kitchen. A good Base to conquer and visit Sydney.

The location is the best of this hostel, situated in a cool neighborhood, full of cafes, pubs and restaurants (try the thai Tom Yum). But our room (5 beds female) was very hot and a little bit smelly. The toilets also weren't clean and a little bit tired. The kitchen is well equipped but also lacks some cleaning... The rooftop... Staying in Glebe

Neighborhood Profile
Glebe
An inner city suburb along the water, Glebe has a deep-rooted sense of cultural history and heritage. It originated as a semi-rural resort for the well-to-do, but has transformed into a student-centric melting pot. Visit Glebe Point Road for ethnic cuisine as standard as Mexican, Indian, Italian and Chinese, or as diverse as Spanish, Bavarian, Polish, Czech and Lebanese. You will find that Glebe is accepting of the eccentrics and aboriginals that roam the streets, integrating students and people of all economic statuses into the multi-cultural fabric that distinguishes this suburb. Glebe Foreshore is a great destination for a leisurely walk along the Bay, and the Saturday market is a great scene for bargain hunters.
