Our travel agent booked a room with twin beds for my friend and me. On our voucher it stated twin beds requested, but we given a king bed. When asked to change we had to pay an extra $100 per night for an upgrade! The only positive about the room was the comfy beds and it was clean. The room was very dark and we needed lights on whenever we were there. The only friendly staff were the helpful and friendly young men at the door. I would not stay again.

Hotel's Favorite
My wife and I choose to stay at Amora on Jamison Hotel in the Sydney CBD. we are so happy we did. The staff were amazing and the room outstanding. The hotel is located close the Wynyard Heavy Train Station and Bridge Street Light Rail station. The hotel was one stop from Circular Quay or a five minute walk. You can also walk through Wynyard Station to Darling Harbour. Our room was a Deluxe King room with a corner view on the 33rd floor. I mentioned the staff. Drew and Robin greeted us and were amazing. Such a professional team. In fact all of the staff were so friendly and welcoming. We highly recommend the hotel.

Amora Hotel Jamison Sydney. Let me start with one word: Excellent!! On March 18, 2023 I had pleasure of staying in this Hotel and due to 15 hours of flying I wasn’t feeling good. On that day I stopped at Hotel restaurant located on first floor. First I met Miss. Astha( Server) and I asked her can I see the menu? She smiled and handed me a menu. “”””All I wanted chicken soup and it wasn’t on the Menu”””. Miss. Astha immediately got her Manager Mr. Gaurau and he told me I heard you aren’t feeling good and you wanted chicken soup? then he said:” Don’t worry, I’ll make sure you’ll get your chicken soup “; if you aren’t in rush please come back in half an hour. Almost 30 minutes later I showed up at restaurant and I couldn’t believe it!!!! Mr. Gaurau asked his Chef Mr. Pako to make me Chicken Soup from scratch with all the veggies and some delicious ingredients. The chef did excellent job. They went above and beyond line of duty. This is what I call customer service, people who dedicated to helping others without asking for more. I truly believe in catching people doing something right in order to help drive performance and set level of expectations for other employees or staffs.  In today’s  compatative environment industry the success of any company depends on employees such as Miss. Astha, Mr. Gaurau and Mr. Pako. Mr. Gaurau and Miss. Astha were accommodating, courteous, polite, friendly, smile,  patient, excellent knowledge of their job, friendly. It showed all three names above took obvious pride in their job,  and  follow company service standards and easily they are on my top 1%. Great job all the way around!! Please pass along my appreciation for their warm and wonderful services extended to me and other customers. Thank you Farid Yazdani Delta Airlines Purser/Flight Attendant/LAX

We booked at short notice. Was the most affordable 5 star hotel we found. Have stayed in many different hotels in Sydney but this would have to rate in my top 3. Didn't dissapoint. Room was big, shower was AMAZING! Location was perfect to everything. Would highly recommend to everyone. Beds were super comfy as well.

Lovely check in experience. Complimentary early check in was very welcome after our early arrival at Sydney airport. Great location, central to Sydney CBD and walking distance to ferries and The Rocks.

Run down, dated and grotty. Can't quite understand how this hotel can advertise as 5 stars. We booked a twin double bed room and the beds were more like king singles - barely fit two people. They were so soft they caused back pain. Bathroom was full of stains and mould. The hotel is in desperate need of a makeover - until then advertising as 5 stars is completely misleading and deceptive.

Very mixed bag here. Avoid the kitchen and room service and you might be all right. Some staff are friendly, service oriented, and good at their jobs. Others, not so much. $50 breakfast two days in a row, no “special instructions” followed, I’m diabetic and I need some dietary adjustments - simple things like sugar substitute, eggs and other things well done, to avoid food borne illness. Now, I accept that anyone can make an error, but when I called asking for assistance, I got an unwelcoming front desk who put me through to ?? Who answered and hung up the phone… call 2: , I called back, spoke to the same person who seemed unable to understand I had received food but there was something wrong with it, finally said he was putting my call through to kitchen staff, spoke to whoever answered had no idea what I was talking about, and also seemed unable to understand, I don’t think they were the kitchen at all?? I can’t imagine if someone had an allergic reaction, what kind of run around and dangerous disregard they would get. Call Three : finally received assistance. Front desk tried to transfer me to manager, no response. She took the message and I got new food after 1 hour. Still did not send artificial sweetener. Seriously lacking in basic competence here- multiple front desk staff complained that calls should be going direct to the relevant department, despite the fact that this is literally not possible- the phone displays 3 options : 9 for all service (front desk to direct call), 0 outside line, 3 voicemail. No complimentary water in Lobby for guests, no fruit, or cookies or any snacks, except from the $$$$mini bar. Just came from a Fairmont: totally another class of experience. Positives . Door men were nice, wait staff decent, beds good. Room doesn’t really look like pictures, but that’s common. Joanna at front desk seems helpful. Finally got new eggs cooked to order 1 hour 20 minutes later. Sent the poor server back for a THIRD time to see if she can get them to hand over some buttered toast and sugar substitute (Equal/sweet and low/sugar twin/ Splenda whatever) . Appalling. For a $50 breakfast…. For one person… the food even when done correctly, wasn’t anything special.

Lovely staff and venue, highly recommend this venue. The bed was really comfortable and the room was spacious also, a lovely bath tub available for use as well. Close to everything you want to see in Sydney too, I look forward to staying again in future. They also recommend a wonderful Limo Driver DD Limousines (Antwan) who will take you to and from Sydney airport. I had a really bad experience with a shuttle bus service and so am very grateful to the hotel staff for helping me to arrange a safe and reliable ride to the airport after a bad experience after landing. Thank you everyone and bravo for the great service.

Brilliant location easy walk to quays, very nice breakfast, great pool/spa area, rapid lifts, large clean rooms, bed was huge and comfortable. Large shower & seperate bath! Well stocked mini bar and fridge. Friendly and helpful staff. Yes a tad worn in places but very minimal and doesn't detract from overall feel. Definitely recommend it.
