I find many people give negative reviews to this backpacker hostel, but I think it is not a bad choice - come on, they only charge you $20 one night with good location and free breakfast! You can’t compare it with other hostels that charge you $60 or $100 per night. I think this is not fair. And It is... More

The location is great - they are located in the central of Sydney City. Rooms are cozy and spotless, the free Wi-Fi was fast and efficient (nothing turns me on like a good internet connection speed). They also provide free breakfast. It maybe not the best hostel in Sydney, but worth the price.

The most unfriendly staff I've ever met in a hostel. Waiting all the times for toilet or shower. No space for eating. Ridiculously small kitchen, only one cooker (and only one of the hobs works). If you need to drink a glass of water, you need to go to the reception, leave your keys as deposit for the glass, and... More

I stayed two night in this hostel. It took me one hour to find it as it isn't on the street where it is supposed to be. I stayed in a dorm with 10 beds. The room was good. I didn't need more to sleep there.

I had a 4 people room expecting it to be more spacious, and it was the worst choice.I had a room on top floor, with no window, extremely tiny, i barely fit in between the 2 bunkbeds to access my bed. You could tell my bed had been used before me, I had to sleep on my sleeping bag. there... More

Dirty and damp is what you are greeted to when you arrive at this hostel. The kitchen is tiny and is filthy, the communal area is filled with old and used furniture with rips and tears. The bathrooms are really dirty. Beds are relatively comfortable but the rooms themselves smell strongly of damp. There is no atmosphere in the hostel,... More

I stayed here for two nights at the end of my travel around Australia and I can safely say it's one of the worst places I've stayed! The photos on booking.com looked nice and the price was cheap so I chose it, big mistake! The photos were obviously old and the place no longer looks like that. On the website... More

Worst hostel ever! Be careful: BED BUGS! The only good thing is that it's cheap and in the center of Sydney. The staff was very unfriendly! The rooms and bathrooms are dirty, kitchen is tiny. The beds feel like the will break every minute. I met there a lot of weird people - a lot of smoking inside, alcohol and... More

This hostel was a good price for its fantastic cbd location..... now I know why! lots of people who are not staying at the hostel hang out in the common area and take advantage of the TV and facilities, this area is already too small for number of guests let alone random people from the street. This also made me... More

Breakfast and location is the only good of this hostel, some lockers are broken, bad wifi and one day I can't change my phone because some plugin didn't work , I felt very lucky because I didn't lose anything. Think if is better save some money or stay in a good condition, is a place for sleep and leave soon

Staying in Chinatown

Neighborhood Profile
Chinatown
Tiger-flanked archways on Dixon Street mark the entrance to the “little Asia” of Sydney. A walk through Chinatown is a feast for the senses where aromas, tastes, sounds and visions of dancing tigers transport you to a different world. Chinatown visitors can expect a melting pot of Asian food at the neighborhood's specialty delis and groceries. From yum cha to handmade noodles, BBQ ducks hanging in the window to Asian sweets and bakeries, there is something for all tastes. Paddy’s Markets is the largest flea market in Sydney where you can find souvenirs, clothing, gifts and fruit and vegetables at unbeatable prices. At night, Chinatown comes alive with entertainment including theater, nightclubs and bars that are open until the early morning.
