A brilliant hotel I've never heard of, and all the better for it. Quirky, bit weird, artistic; all the things I'm absolutely not and don't seek, but I lapped up every bit of it.

Probably the only time I've taken multiple pictures of the lobby, lift space and rooms. This isn't me, but I was immersed and took the photos home to show the family.

The hands holding the room numbers was my favorite!

QT sydney never fails to deliver an outstanding level of sexy sophistication luxury and indulgence. We regularly visit to refresh and get away from the daily grind of family obligations and relax. The rooms are always impeccably decorated each one slightly different with eclectic objets d’art. The bed is soft like sleeping on a cloud and the bath tubs roomy enough for two. Great movie selection and excellent staff. Front desk manager Ashley really looked after us during an intensely busy check in period. We will return soon!

Stayed in QT Sydney for 9 nights for business, interesting decor and artwork, large and well laid out room with minimum lighting, which is good to hide the stains on the carpet. Spacious and very dark bathroom, which is ok if you're used to doing your make up in the candlelight!
If you're booking this hotel make sure you take a flash light and a pair of slippers (not provided), you need them to walk on the super dirty carpet. And skip the in room dinning, it is terrible, trust me I tried all the half a dozen options available!

Hey 650zs, Thank you for taking the time to review us. With over 24 differently configured rooms and a whole tower of rooms with floor boards there are definitely plenty of options for our guests. Next time your in, just let our team know and we will allocate a room with more natural daylight and hard wood timber floorboards. I shall be passing on your feedback regarding our In Room Dining options to our Food & beverage team, we feel it is extremely important to constantly be improving our services and tailored them to our guests. Have a wonderful rest of the week. Kindest, Ash

We were greeted at the entrance to the building by Tara who was lovely and guided us to the lifts and upto reception. Check in was quick and easy and we were provided with a complimentary double upgrade to an executive room which was much appreciated.

The hotel and room style is dark, opulent and quirky. Our room was big as was the bathroom with a big freestanding bath. The bed and pillows were all a bit soft for my personal preference but comfortable.

Location was great. So close to Pitt St mall and easy walk to Darlinghurst or Surry Hills.

Whilst there is no parking onsite there is a Wilson Parking on Pitt St on the same block for $35 a night which is reasonable for Sydney and a few hundred metres walk back to the hotel. This wasn’t an issue for us but could be more difficult for people with children or a lot of luggage.

COVID comment: The hotel has hand sanitizer available in the main lobby, the lifts and reception aswell as limits of two people per lift and marked spacing in reception.

The staff and generally the service and professionalism was a highlight. We would stay again.

We'd had to cancel our initial night away here because of Covid-19 but finally got to go over the long weekend and it was lush!
The room was huge and the bath was fantastic. We had a bottle of wine and a big deep bath. Luckily we brought our own bath oil as they don't include bath stuff in the toiletries (only shower).
We then decided to use the Espresso Martini kit in our room and called down for some ice- room service came quickly and also brought the bathrobes we requested so we could get all cosy. The Espresso Martinis were delicious and we had fun making them.
Beds are huge and very comfortable, and the black-out blinds help for a perfect nights sleep :)

This QT hotel had the most wonderful, polite and bubbly staff, all of them. One lady in particular Heidi went well above her job to help our family of 7 reserve a restaurant for us for dinner as it was very confusing online which restaurants were open as Covid seemed to have a lot closed. The hotel itself has the most comfortable gel top beds, the bathroom was very modern and large 2 showers and a bath, all the small things like shampoo soaps , coffees T2 tea was very welcomed. We had two double rooms at the back of the hotel amd it was very quiet with no road cbd noise . The curtains were dark amd you could really sleep in, very generous check out time as well. I love the QT and will be now really looking forward to our upcoming QTPerth visit in September, it’s very funky quirky and great hospitality! Definitely one to remember and re book . Thank you QT Sydney for making us so welcome

What’s with the glass toilet doors????
This is a lovely little hotel, very friendly staff, comfortable room. I had a deluxe king room, which gave me a bath tub in the huge but VERY dark bathroom - totally useless for makeup etc. There was a hand makeup mirror which I think was supposed to have lights but the batteries were flat, I suppose, because it didn’t light up. There is a blind you can roll up for day light, but the window was opposite an office building, so yeah, no, not a fan of showering with an audience, and besides, that’s useless light-wise at night. The bed was comfy, quite soft. My biggest bug bear was the toilet, separate from the bathroom, which is great, but which had a frosted glass door directly opposite the bed. Just as well I was on my own because I DO NOT wish to EVER see my travelling companions sitting on the toilet, and I’m sure they wouldn’t want to see me. And you could see straight through the glass door. Curiously, the bathroom had a solid wooden door. Go figure. The restaurant, Gowings, is very good, but expensive. The coffee shop downstairs doesn’t do mugs of coffee, only small cups. So I would stay here again because location, location, location, and pretty comfy, but I would most definitely request a room without a glass toilet door if I was sharing the room.

My friend and I stayed at the QT Sydney this last long wknd to celebrate coming out of lockdown. We both spent months with our babies and toddlers in our houses and planned a fabulous treat for ourselves at the “5 star” QT hotel. That was my big mistake - choosing the QT. Firstly we got there at 2pm eager to check in and we were in line for a long time . Ok - there were a lot of people out for a staycation but 3pm and we still did not receive the key. After an hr and 15 mins we finally received the key.

When we got to my friends room, we wanted to unwind with a glass of red in my friends room and noticed there was no red wine in the mini bar. We asked for some to be brought up to the room and after waiting 45 mins for one we were finally given one. We later found out that the one we were given is not even the correct size (it was the half bottle) but charged for the full.

Then at 2.30am the fire alarm started ringing and I had to walk down 8 flight of stairs because I realised the phone did not work in my room!! So basically had the worst sleep. Worse than I would at home - so much for having a great sleep away from the kids. Then the next morning since my phone didn’t work and I couldn’t order food I went down to the only place that had breakfast and ordered scrambled egg and toast and three extra items (avocado, mushroom and sausage) which each cost 5 dollars extra for each additional item on top of the meal price . For such an expensive breakfast I was shocked at how pitifully small it was!!!

Then went to my room cuz I just had enough of this hotel and the key didn’t work. Line up for ages , get key fixed go upstairs and guess what, it still doesn’t work. Go down again , get it fixed again and was finally able to leave this comedy of errors. NEVER again!!!! Def not a five star experience. Also it is so dim in this hotel . No natural light it is utterly depressing. Should have never chosen this lousy hotel .

The hotel decorations and the atmosphere is undoubtedly great. We did a staycation for our anniversary. The corner suite bathroom was beautiful and huge. There are free movies on the TV and you could connect an Android phone to watch netflix (Screen mirroring!) Everything about the room itself was perfect but there were minor issues. We had to wait over 1 hour for housekeeping because in the first 30 minutes of waiting the guy brought the wrong item instead. When we corrected our request he looked confused, he left and forgot to come back...We had to chase this up twice over the phone? Waiting an hour for a single item has never happened in the many 5 star hotels we've stayed all around Sydney. The next morning they called the room, waking us up, asking us when we were checking out because they needed the room back but the receptionist upon check in specifically told us we could check out at 12 pm but the staff didn't know about this when we were checking out? This has also never happened to us despite staying frequently in many hotels. I would love to come back for the gorgeous room and the comfiest beds but I felt like the service for the first time staying at Sydney's QT sort of ruined our mood for the anniversary as we could have spent the extra hour of waiting to do something else..

Hey Julie M, Thank you for your enquiry! Yes you can book one of our fab QT Twin rooms, which has 2 double beds. If these are not available for your requested accommodation date, we can put a rollaway bed in some of our rooms, you would need to make sure you at least book a King Deluxe room!
