The historic pub in the rocks area is a real cracker. The building itself is old and we'll preserved and restored. The interior is like a british pub but not to dark. The pub is also a microbrewery, we liked the '3 sheets ale'. The service is good from a variety of cute internationals. The food was the best suprise.... More

Historic old pub that is impressive, filled with casual business clientele. The beer is brilliant! Just love it Basic menu, that is standard food. Fireplace inside to create that cozy country feeling. Recommend this location over the rocks. Smarter clientele

This pub strikes a good balance between old and full of personality and being modern and light. They brew their own beer. The occasional group of young men in their first work suits can be a little rowdy. The Lord Nelson does not try to squeeze too many table into the area giving you some shoulder room. Well worth a... Ended up here after aiming for somewhere else which turned out to be quite expensive. A great bar with home brewed beers and a lively atmosphere. A variety of beers if all strengths and a good wine list. The food was reasonably priced and the service great. Altogether a very successful find

Sydney's oldest pub, nice old sandstone building Easy walk from circular quay or the rocks around some beautiful old heritage buildings Very cosy Great quality beers and reasonable pub meals plus a brasserie upstairs We went for lunch on a Saturday and it wasn't too crowded. Friendly staff

The Lord Nelson has a good range of craft beers, and there should be something too suit everyoneś taste and enough of a selection to try out different styles. The bar food is basic but plentiful and is good value for the price. If you want a table in the bar get there early, it is popular on Friday nightś.... More

So this was my favourite pub for a few years, but today showed a place continuing to decline. Some of the beer was good, some ordinary. Yet again, the "Nelson's Blood" was not available. I have lost count of the number of times I have been told it is not available. Seriously, brew more of it, or don't bother. The... More

Hi Ian, Thank you for taking the time to give your feedback on your recent experience with us here at the Lord. We sincerely apologise that Nelson's Blood has not been available on your last couple of visits. During the winter months the brewery team brews our Irish Stout, “Anileation” in addition to the Nelson’s Blood and we do our... More

The Lord Nelson is located in the Rocks area and has a great selection of beers, sprites and food. The pub is the oldest pub in Sydney and has an old ships nautical theme. Great staff and a good atmosphere makes this old pub a must for any visit to Sydney.

While organising a bucks party, managed to get in here and start off the day with a few pints, good eats and great surroundings. Made us all very welcome from arrival and accommodating with the size of out group. Great to have started a memorable day at a memorable pub. Thanks teams for everything you did on the day. If... My only regret is that we were there in the morning, but that didn't mean it was too early to enjoy a hand crafted beer! They had a variety of beer on taps most of which we full flavoured ales, however they also had a summer ale that was lighter for those who want a easier drinking beer. The server... More
