The Lord Nelson has a good range of craft beers, and there should be something too suit everyoneś taste and enough of a selection to try out different styles. The bar food is basic but plentiful and is good value for the price. If you want a table in the bar get there early, it is popular on Friday nightś.... More

So this was my favourite pub for a few years, but today showed a place continuing to decline. Some of the beer was good, some ordinary. Yet again, the "Nelson's Blood" was not available. I have lost count of the number of times I have been told it is not available. Seriously, brew more of it, or don't bother. The... More

The Lord Nelson is located in the Rocks area and has a great selection of beers, sprites and food. The pub is the oldest pub in Sydney and has an old ships nautical theme. Great staff and a good atmosphere makes this old pub a must for any visit to Sydney.

While organising a bucks party, managed to get in here and start off the day with a few pints, good eats and great surroundings. Made us all very welcome from arrival and accommodating with the size of out group. Great to have started a memorable day at a memorable pub. Thanks teams for everything you did on the day. If... My only regret is that we were there in the morning, but that didn't mean it was too early to enjoy a hand crafted beer! They had a variety of beer on taps most of which we full flavoured ales, however they also had a summer ale that was lighter for those who want a easier drinking beer. The server... More

This pub had to be one of the best in the world in a major city. As you walk into this establishment you feel as though you have walked into your local. Still serving damper made from their very own beer and served in a wholesome ploughmans what better way to enjoy your Saturday arvo. I have also been to... More

I just went to the pub part of this hotel which is what it's known for anyway. Great place to get a beer if you're a tourist. It appears to be quite a place for the locals as well. Staff was nice, beer was average at best, but I could say that about all of Australia for that matter, but... More

Showing a friend the city you grew up in lends itself to a pub crawl in Sydney's historic district called The Rocks. The Lord Nelson Brewery was a little out of the way on a cold night but the big fire, cozy atmosphere and beer brewed onsite was a wonderful welcome. We chose to share a flight with a site... More

This claims to be the oldest pub in Australia and it certainly has that historic feel. Set in Sydney's Rocks area, it is a great precinct to spend time in. A great mix of pub, brewery and eatery. The "on tap" sparkling brown wine - well, OK, beer - is great, especially their celebration brews. I love "Nelson's Blood" and... More

Had lunch here when in Sydney last weekend with friends. The pub is very quaint with lots of items on display from years long past. The pub was packed for lunch and the staff were run off their feet behind the bar. Not sure if they were short staffed or not but they could have done with an extra pair... More
