Warm welcome, professional and efficient team, amazing hotel experiance. Friendly and professional check-in and out experience, the room, and surrounds of the hotel are wonderful, a great escape, and very enjoyable stay, looking forward to returning. It's often the finer details like a personable welcome note that makes a lasting impact. The Ovolo Wolloomooloo team have it just right.
We stayed two nights in this very funky 5 star hotel in the middle of the city with excellent bus service across the road. The staff service and attitude was amongst the best we've experienced anywhere in the world. All are happy, enthusiastic and very well trained. Nothing is any trouble. Very good buffet breakfast is included, along with free lollies and a 'goody bag'. Plus a free mini bar with beer and wine restocked daily. The rooms are nice and well appointed, along with robes. Good value for money. We would happily stay again.
Great rooms and facilities at Ovollo. We enjoyed every minute . The rooms were outstanding. Close to city and Kings Cross. The restaurants on the wharf are amazing and made this weekend a memorable one. If looking for a place to stay go to the Ovollo
I don’t know if I can say enough positive things about this hotel. We were made to feel welcome from the moment we arrived until we left two days later. The Concierge was amazing helped us get everything out of the car (we have a lot of luggage due to the uncertainty of the weather at the moment) and assured us we would be ok in the taxi zone in front the hotel. Check in was a breeze and even though the room wasn’t ready at the time, they took care of everything all we had to do was come back after lunch. The room was amazing so comfortable and set up for our dog as well. They provided a bed, blanket, bowls and feeding mat and a little gift bag for him as well. We had an amazing two days in Sydney and a major part of this was thanks to the staff at Ovolo - thank you so much for looking after the three of us…
Booked this hotel for 2 nights for my Mother for her 70th Birthday Treat. The experience you view on the website is NOT the experience you will receive at the hotel . All within the first 24 hours my mother had to deal with - Room not cleaned adequately, eg rubbish left lying on floor. - Duvet cover in old blood stains. - The shower was broken and not usable - Requested extra teabags, staff promised within 10 mins but never turned up. - Request extra teabags, 30 mins later and staff member arrived promptly with 3!! teabags. - Mirror in the bathroom was damaged - Ceiling in bathroom appeared to have water damage with cracks in the paint. - Lamp damanged - Block out blinds not working properly, drooped on floor, which buckled material allowing light to come inside. Phoned the duty mgr from London, UK to express how unacceptable and poor the service and facilities had been, who was less than helpful, didn't take my concerns seriously, made excuses and said she would 'look into the situation by the end of the day'. Only when Insisted that was unacceptable and why it should take 4 hours to do this. Then she agreed to phone me back within the hour. When she did eventually get back to me, her response was the following - again more excuses - did not offer any adequate solutions to rectify this appalling experience, I actually had to suggest to the duty mgr what would be an appropriate and fair solution. - she really didn't know how to handle my complaint.…
Had a family staycation. Staff were welcoming and attentive. Close to the City, Museum, Art Gallery and our Beautiful Botanical Gardens yet not in the middle of the hustle and bustle. Rooms were clean and well stocked.
My Wife and I had 3 wonderful nights at the Ovolo we have stayed at hotels right across the globe and the Ovolo rates at one of the best, from the very first greeting we received when we arrived (as if we were long lost relatives, coming home ) to when we left ,we really felt part of the family ,our room was SO nice ,we really did not want to leave it ,would not hesitate to recommend Ovolo to Family and Friends
We had stayed before and it was THE BOMB! Great staff, awesome service, amazing vibe and it was so clean. This time was the complete opposite. Staff look miserable, service was terrible, the vibe had died and the rooms look like they have aged by 20 years in the past 18 months. We were shocked at how things went downhill so quickly. I understand COVID did it rough for some businesses but we came during the pandemic on our previous visit and it really was amazing. I certainly would not return based on our last experience. It was atrociously expensive for the experience they provide. Very (VERY) disappointed.
What a fantastic hotel, very warm welcome from staff out the front and at the reception desk. This warm and friendly vibe came across from all staff members encountered over our stay. This is not the run of the mill stuff hotel. it plays great music in the reception and bar areas. Time has been spent thinking about the rooms interiors, making them rather funky, an enjoyable space to spend sometime and very comfortable. Nice view of Naval dockyard from window. Walk from hotel to CDB is not far and rather enjoyable, especially if you walk through the Botanic Gardens. I’d certainly stay again
Ovolo Woolloomooloo has lots of character and plenty of cool quirks. Our accommodation was in a loft suite and exceeded our expectations, to the point where my wife wanted to take the funky bed head home. We found the location great and provided plenty of new places to explore as we normally would holiday in Sydney closer to Darling Harbour. A special 5 star mention has to go out to the customer service we received during our stay. From the moment we opened the door of our Uber on arrival, we were greeted by 2 young gentlemen on the footpath to collect our luggage, to the moment we were checking out at reception and being farewelled for a safe journey home, we received exceptional customer service from start to finish as well as any interaction we had with staff along the way.
