I visited Sydney for business and my husband came along for the trip. We happened to be staying during Lunar New Year so room prices all over the city were very high. However staying at Aarons during this time was great, as it meant we were right in amongst it. We didn't spend much time in the room, and found... More

My first trip to Sydney my friend had booked a room for us both for 4 nights and what started as an unfortunate stay turned into a wonderful stay. The room we initially checked into was very small especially for 2 people for 4 nights. After the first night we enquired about an upgrade and reception offered us an upgrade... More

I have been a regular at Aaron’s for many years as it is in the middle of China Town where I have business interests. Not only that, but it has that natural feel quite different from the usual of the sterile super chains of hotels. It is in a Heritage building and all the rooms are different. However, things have... We only stayed at this hotel for one night as we were joining a cruise in Sydney the next day. The hotel is definitely a budget hotel but was comfortable and clean. The room was a decent size, the staff were welcoming. The only negative was we had asked for a room on a lower floor due to the fact... More

I was in Sydney with my dad for 6 days and we enjoyed our stay at Aarons! Very friendly and helpful staff. This hotel is cheap and perfect for your stay in Sydney. Excellent location and big, upgraded rooms. It was clean and we got new towels every day.

I was hesitant to book at Aarons Hotel but thank God we pushed ahead and we had a marvellous stay last December 2015. The hotel was simple, clean and the staffs are friendly and helpful. One staff even checked on us if we reached our destination as it was on his way home! The hotel was located in the Haymarket... More

Usually stay at a nearby more expensive chain hotel but decided to give Aarons a try and was pleasently surprised. Roo was a little small but clean and comfortable. I did not have a lot of need to be in contact with staff but they were friendly when dealt with.

Overall good. Cleanliness is alright (Moderate) (Found someone's retainer on the floor...in the corner...) Very close to china town. Pretty much walk and bus everywhere. It is next to Market City. Easy to walk from the train station to the hotel. Staff is very friendly.

The most unique and luxurious room we've had the good fortune to stay in. The room was on the 1st Floor with a corner position so it made it very unusual in its layout. Huge, spacious, new paint smell, luxury bedding, massive bathroom with two basins, seperate massive high pressure shower and best of all... the toilet is the extreme... More

Staying in Chinatown

Neighborhood Profile
Chinatown
Tiger-flanked archways on Dixon Street mark the entrance to the “little Asia” of Sydney. A walk through Chinatown is a feast for the senses where aromas, tastes, sounds and visions of dancing tigers transport you to a different world. Chinatown visitors can expect a melting pot of Asian food at the neighborhood's specialty delis and groceries. From yum cha to handmade noodles, BBQ ducks hanging in the window to Asian sweets and bakeries, there is something for all tastes. Paddy’s Markets is the largest flea market in Sydney where you can find souvenirs, clothing, gifts and fruit and vegetables at unbeatable prices. At night, Chinatown comes alive with entertainment including theater, nightclubs and bars that are open until the early morning.
