Stayed one night - the Travelodge is in a great location, walking distance to everything in the city and train stations close by. There is a Convenience store 20 m from the front of the hotel. The room was large and clean and had everything needed for the night. The parking could be improved as it is quite costly (50.00... More

Clean, well appointed hotel in heart of Sydney CBD, close to two train stations (St James, Martin Place), with handy convenience store and a couple of cafes just outside the front door. Great base for Sydney sightseeing.

The central city location makes this a very convenient choice for visiting galleries, city attractions and for business trips. Rooms are simple but have everything required for a very comfortable stay.

Problem free, no frills stay. Best aspect of this hotel was it's close proximity to St James train station and the airport line - easy walk and felt quite safe at 5 am. Room was clean, bed reasonably comfortable.

Misses on sight dining Facilities, and we had regular problems with our swipe key not working. It was tidy and very quiet which is a major plus in central Sydney. However very suitable for holidaying as reasonably handy to both Darling Harbour and Circular Key.

The hotel was very clean and comfortable. It is very close to the City and only a short bus trip to the main attractions of Sydney. I would stay there again. It is a very short walk to the CBD and all the main shops. The buses are very accessible to travel to Bondi and the SCG.

This hotel is within a 5 minute walk to the financial district. It is also very close to most of the Sydney attractions providing an average of a 20 min walk to many of them. This is a low cost, absolutely no frills hotel, but provides the basics for a stay. Don't count on any cable TV channels, only the... More

Proximity to city, markets, Darling harbour and trains was excellent. Rooms are clean and spacious with plenty of comfortable seating. A nice kitchionette. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Cafes and bars are very close.

Had to go to court so the travellodge was extremely convenient just accross the road! Breakfast at Silks just accross the road and we walked around the corner to the rabbit hole for dinner. Walked around martin place and had lunch at The lindt cafe. Only complaint was we were one towel short so had to ask for an extra,... More

Staying in Central Business District

Neighborhood Profile
Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.
