First stay at the Langham Sydney. Great hotel, great location. Rooms are clean and large. They provided a rollaway bed which was comfortable. Housekeeping was good, turn down service each night was inconsistent but this is one of the few hotels that still does turndown service in Australia. Valet parking expensive given location at $88 per night, can also charge the EV. The observatory bar was a nice space. Main let down was breakfast - they really can improve on this and make it more like a 5 star buffet. There were literally no Gluten Free options for a Coeliac - you would need to order off the ala carte menu. Most 5 star hotels do put out a section in the buffet that was Gluten Free and Langham would do well to follow suit. Similarly, the dinner ordered off their in room dining and observatory bar was not that great given the exorbitant prices - the prawn papaya salad had 4 prawns and the salad was bland and tasteless. Their signature prawn toast was just ok, but too salty. The kids meal was good and reasonably priced. The second night we dined at Sake at the Rocks, and for their prices (same as langham) we got very upmarket japanese food so recommend eating out around the Rocks rather than in the hotel. All in all, we will return

We stayed three nights in a spacious Jr. Suite (310) with a large top-floor terrace overlooking Darling Harbor. The hotel is only 3 stories (93 rooms?) and has none of the famous Sydney views to speak of. Staff was uniformly pleasant, accommodating, and totally un-stuffy. We arrived very early from our long flight; our room was still occupied, but they saw how tired we were, and turned it around rapidly. We were settled around 11:30 which is much better than we expected. The included breakfast buffet was very good; the Observatory Bar is staffed by very good bartenders. Did not eat lunch or dinner in the restaurant. The spa massage was pricey and just adequate, but the indoor pool was refreshing and the facilities were staff fine; they accommodated us in the spa while we waited for our room. The hotel location is somewhat removed from the touristy part of The Rocks, but a fairly short walk downhill gets you there.

We were very grateful the hotel was able to retrieve some important valuables which we left by mistake in our room after checkout. Their quick, positive response to our urgent phone request to send someone immediately to our cruise ship terminal in the nick of time before our ship departed was very much appreciated. It was very good of them to do so.

My wife and I started are 3 week trip through Australia in Sydney, and the Langham was the first place we called home. We arrived at 8am (after 22 hours of flying), and though our room was of course not ready, the Front Desk Agents were able to let my wife and I take advantage of the spa area and take a shower. That came in clutch, as we were able to refresh ourselves and hit the ground running!

The Langham is located in a very walkable area, where you can walk to the CBD, Waterfront, and the Sydney Harbor Bridge. We were able to hit a bunch of spots while we waited for our room, which we were then notified was ready early. Loved that they were able to accommodate us with an early check-in.

Check-in was super easy. The agents were super professional and walked us through everything we needed to know about the property. We also were able to exchange currency there, which is always a nice thing to have onsite.

The room was a Terrace Room on the 3rd floor, with a small balcony overlooking Kent St and their tennis courts. It was spacious and comfortable room that came with a couch that we could stretch out in. The bathroom came with super comfy robes that my wife immediately took advantage of. Everything was very luxurious and we loved it.

We arrived on a Sunday and took advantage of Langham's High Tea. It was everything you would expect from a tea service! The staff were super attentive and kept the drinks flowing. It was a great way to start our trip.

The pool, located in Chuan Day Spa is beautiful and definitely Instagram worthy. It was never too crowded and you were always able to swim around and not feel like you were on top of anyone. There was also a hot tub connected to the pool, which was a nice spot to relax in after long days of walking.

All in all, it was a beautiful hotel, in a great location with great service. If you are heading to Sydney, definitely take a look at the Langham!

This hotel was included as part of a month long trip away and I cannot say enough nice things about it. - it really was the favourite place of all the hotels we stayed in whilst away. Our room wasn’t ready when we arrived so we spent some time in the Observatory bar - lovely staff in here and we came back many times for drinks. - we also had an afternoon tea which was a very nice experience.
I’d booked a suite overlooking the harbour with a balcony and the room was really lovely - very comfortable, clean and airy ( serviced every day to a very high standard. We had breakfast included and this was very varied and of exceptional quality - sometimes a bit of a wait for a coffee but you’re on holiday so what’s the hurry 😊
We did have room service one night ( a curry ) which arrived in good time and was very tasty
It’s in a good location I think as not right in the centre ( a little walk to the ferries and opera house area ) but has a lovely outlook and good green spaces to explore ( Observatory Hill and Stargazer Lawn within a few minutes )
Basically if you are in Sydney just stay here its fantastic
I really hope they get their restaurant up and running at some point ( I hope it’s in the pipeline ) as we would love to eat in instead of having to find somewhere outside.

For the second time in two annual visits, we had to check our bill and have items removed that we had not ordered or consumed. Our second night of a two night stay, was ruined by two drunken women in the adjacent room, returning at 4am, playing music and literally screaming for about half an hour. The hand shower in our bathroom was broken - something maintenance and house-keeping should have been aware of and fixed. The meal we were served at Kitchens, was truly below average and not even up to local cafe standards. What happened Langham? Where did the experience that I would pay $650 a night go? My wife and I have celebrated our wedding anniversary here three times over the years, but will go elsewhere next year.

After a second long stay, it is a good hotel being only 3 floors.
However it could so easily be the best in Sydney if its Hong kong owners were to spend a little more.
They closed the handsome restaurant long ago. Breakfast room fine. There are retaurants near by on Kent St. But using the Cocktail bar as a make shift dining room is not ideal, carrying the food across the loby from a distant kitchen !
The pool/change room is pleasant but when a crowd of Cruise ship passenger guests take it over it gets loud.
The total star here is the Housekeeping service, twice daily, what a high standard for the others in town.
Our rear corner balcony room had two unmatched uncomfortable chairs, loose sink plugs, and no balcony shade. Judging by the roof patches and odd job repairs going on the building despite its smart lobby needs more maintainance.
Rooms to the front have some traffic issues. There is also a fire station near by.The back rooms harbour view is charming BUT for how much longer, as the huge vacant site will need to be built over! The fantastic new Bangaroo METRO station is close but not close enough it would be a fantastic idea if the hotel were to transport guests arriving/departing
at that station....for a small fee.
As has been said before by guests there is a lack of connection from most staff including you Mr Jolly , we were still strangers after a long stay.

We had two separate bookings at Langham for our stays in Sydney and we absolutely loved it.
The whole experience, from the hotel’s facilities, impeccable cleanliness in public areas and inside the room, aesthetic, amenities etc everything was a strong five star for us. The concierge staff in particular were incredibly polite and helpful with tips for the city, luggage, accompanying us to taxy etc. All small touches that simply made our life easier. Reception was kind enough to offer us an upgrade on our second stay, but both types of rooms, with and without balcony were simply spotless. We had to ask for their help for an early check in and used their (superb) spa/shower facilities to wake up after a very long flight. Breakfast was execellent, great choice of fresh fruit and pastry. For us, it was also very convenient that the hotel offered tennis facilities, quite hard to find so close to the city centre. The pool at the spa was also great.

This is such an amazing hotel. The bedrooms are so beautifully furnished and decorated - the epitome of calm and sophistication. Bathroom was big, well equipped and great shower. The facilities are really good - pool is huge and the hot tub is very invigorating.
The staff make every effort to ensure that you are happy and have everything you wish for. This was our second visit and we were upgraded to the room we had had on our previous trip. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this hotel - they go the extra mile!

After the Langham Hotel in Melbourne, I stayed here in Sydney for a few weeks.
Sydney Langham feels like a boutique hotel, with a smaller entrance compared to Melbourne, but still elegant.

The location is quiet, along Kent St., between The Rocks, the Circular Quay district and the now trendy Barangaroo district.
It's a bit of a walk to downtown, because to get to the Barangaroo area on higher ground you have to go down a lot of stairs or downhill, and even though The Rocks and Circular Quay are close by, big highways get in the way and it's a bit difficult to get there unless you get used to them.

The building itself is on the 4th floor (G-ground floor on the 1st floor and elevator to the 3rd floor), but because it is on higher ground, the view overlooks the bay in a Sydney Bay side room.
The Opera House is unfortunately not visible from this hotel. (The Opera House is more to the right of the view)

The rooms are spacious, European-inspired and suitable for women.
The drawer on the nightstand next to the bed was easy to use because it was separated so that when opened it could divide small items.
The bathroom is spacious enough.
It is indeed aged, but it is acceptable and clean.
There are two sinks and separate shower and tab.
The amenities are a large eco-friendly bottle of Diptic.

Facilities include a spa, an indoor hot spring pool, a jacuzzi, separate male and female saunas and showers.

The breakfast buffet is probably above standard, too.

We had a street room, but in all honesty, to get the best views of the city you'd want to walk around the corner to Observatory Hill and you will enjoy that far more than any hotel room view. Alternatively go have lunch up in Crown Barangaroo Towers or Skypoint, then you will have an even higher view of the city.

Dear Joe1949, The hotel does not have a laundry facility for guests to wash their own items, but we do have a laundry service available. There are also multiple laundromats and dry cleaning services within walking distance to the hotel if you would prefer to do this yourself. Thank you for your enquiry. We are a 10-15 minute walk to the Opera House, or 5-10 minutes by taxi. Please let us know if we can be of any further assistance.
