Has to be my favourite hotel to stay at when we go to Sydney. From the moment you arrive, you are well treated and catered for. I would recommend pre dinner drinks and entertainment in the bar on the ground floor. Last time we went was a Friday night and the lady on the piano was great. The beds are...

Stayed in this lovely hotel whilst in Sydney to see a show. The rooms are spacious and the bathroom is one of the nicest I have seen in a hotel. Staff were amazing and very helpful with any query. The hotel is in the perfect spot being a short walk to circular quay and the rocks. I would definitely stay...

Hard to be critical about the Sir Stamford. So I won't be. It is exactly what it is, i.e., an old-school luxury hotel that caters to the moneyed crowd that can't quite stretch to the Four Seasons. And that is fine. The room was large and the beds comfortable without being too soft. The bathroom was huge with a tub...

We had a pleasant experience over all with the Sir Stamford. A creaky period hotel that is charming in it's way. Bed was good and the service outstanding. If breakfast is included then it is served in the dinning room and this should be made clear.

Exquisite hotel, stunning furnishings, old worlde charm. Service was exemplary and location was perfect for our intimate wedding in the botanical gardens. Reception at the hotel ran smoothly and as planned. The events team delivered a stress free seamless and beautifully decorated room. The food was divine. Will definitely visit again.

Location is excellent, room was large and clean. We stayed for one night to celebrate my wife's birthday in the city. The hotel is probably one of the most expensive we've stayed (for one night). Parking is an additional cost. Breakfast is not included (although when we checked in we were told it was - then rejected by the breakfast...

I had wedding reception for my friend last March 16. The place offer a great venue for wedding ceremony. The place is very luxury, they serve good food and their team are very nice and polite. Slightly disadvantage, it does not provide free parking for wedding attendees.

Staying in Central Business District

Neighborhood Profile
Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.
