This hotel was lovely. The ambiance is a classic, traditional style. Certainly not suited for the modern type but it was extremely comfortable and perfectly located in Circular Quay. We thoroughly enjoyed walking around the city. There are great restaurants, the Opera House and the...More

We booked this hotel for the price and the location, but it has way exceeded our expectations. The concierge and the desk staff are very accommodating and helpful, the fireplace in the lobby is charming, the room is huge, and the bathroom is incredible! And...More
The concierge staff goes beyond the call to help us and others! When I needed a band-aid or advice for where to go, they always were eager to help! So I would recommend that you do ask, for any help that you need!!! Thanks so...More
We had a huge room overlooking the Botanical gardens. The staff is friendly and prompt. The fireplace was lit with Mulled wine for Christmas in July. Opera House is down the street and you go down the hill and you're in Circular Quay. Can't get...More

The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens
or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.

Hello Janietravel , I think you can buy the room with breakfast, we did not. We did pre pay ( which we rarely do ) but were so glad we did. We got an amazing rate and this hotel is always booked. The location, the cleanliness is well worth the money. If you go to Sydney, leave lots of time! One week was not enough for us ! We would have stayed a month ( I know ?? ) gotten an apartment and used it as a hub . Also , we accidentally took a tour with Captain Cook and got the slow ferry instead of the speed, BEST thing we did there, see if JUDY is working. It gives you the lay of the land and you can decide what interest you. We so regret not going to the GOR, Great Ocean Road . . . . if we could have a do over , we would have taken 3 days and driven that area. Safe happy travels Susan K

"some rooms (like ours) have a balcony--nice perk for not any extra money."
