Firstly, being on the corner of Bond & George St the Mantra has long term road/tram work at its front door, my room was George St facing and a high level and noise was not an issue, a lower floor may be more affected. mantra is in a great position in the city, 10 min walk to Harbour/Rocks and 10min...

Corridors and lifts in average state. Room located next to busy nightclub alley. Sleep quality poor. Windows need better acoustic treatment. Amenities like gym are very basic. Not encouraged to return based on other options for my business travel.

Can't say too much about this hotel and the staff. All excellent and great location. Very well appointed and equipped for short and long stays, with friendly and informative staff who made things simple for the journey.

Bathrooms tiny and not clean (splatters of something all over front of vanity unit, asked twice to be cleaned it never was), bed very old and uncomfortable, common areas were poorly maintained and grotty. Would not stay again.

A pleasant stay with friendly and accommodating staff. Some were much friendlier than others. The facilities were great, and rooms were family friendly. An information booklet about the hotel would have been helpful rather than seperate information sheets around the apartment. Bedding was comfortable and clean. Thank you

The location of the hotel is excellent and they're clearly trying to improve but during my stay my room wasn't made up, the food wasn't good and the finish in the room was dreadful. They still have a long way to go to be considered a good option for regular corporate travel.

Middle of the city - I expected better. Lights didn't work. Bathroom was hazardous - leaked all over the place. Internet was flukey. Besides that it was clean and bed comfortable. No more to say to reach 200 words!

Easy walking distance to Circular Quay. Train conveniently located across the road. Some minor disruptions with the road works / light rail construction at present. Will be all the better for it on completion. Neat apartment, bathroom on the small size but adequate.

Staying in Central Business District

Neighborhood Profile
Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.
