We had a lovely 4 day stay in this hotel over new year. Staff were very friendly & helpful and obliging. Rooms were lovely & clean, central position so could walk to most places of interest. The restaurant was great as we spent a bit of time there some late afternoons or before we went out with pre evening drinks... More

We loved this hotel. The location in Sydney was perfect. There was a lot of nightlife going on in the neighbourhood and a lot of touristic places were close by. The room was really big and separated in three parts: kitchen, living room and bedroom. It was always really clean. There is a pool on the top floor and a... More

We booked two rooms for two nights at Mantra 2 Bond St. during our stay in Sydney and they gave us rooms 1210 and 1212. Both rooms were clean and the space is just right for us and I must say that I love the room layout in room 1212! (although I'll love it more if the shower head's water... More

Good sized apartment a five minute walk to Circular Quay. Well serviced every day. Enjoyed using the rooftop pool although small it was perfect to cool off on a hot day. We had breakfast included which had a good sized buffet. After 4 days a little variety on the menu could be an improvement.

Booked a 2-night stay in a 2-bedroom apartment for our family of 5. Having read earlier reviews we were prepared for the "tired-looking" rooms that most seem to mention. This place will be amazing when it goes through the proposed re-furb later this year. One thing we weren't prepared for was the noise from the street....our kids complained of people... More

Celebrated my birthday here last week and like all the other reviews have indicated the hotel is starting to look a bit tired. I last stayed here 5 years ago and back then it had a touch of "luxe" to it but now it is pretty average. Towels and linen can do with a refresh as again you can tell... More

We boord a three persons room for our family. This turned out to be the size of a small ball room. Very spacious with two rooms connected through a kitchenette allowing for privacy. Very friendly staff. Free wifi. Nice small restaurant in lobby. Central location. Will certainly visit the Mantra again.

I hadn't stayed in this hotel for quite a while. The location is perfect both for business and leisure. The thing I was most surprised about after checking into the room was that not a single thing had been done to the rooms. Everything was the same however blatantly showing the heavy use over the passage of the 7 years... More

The rooms at Mantra 2 Bond Street are a little tired and in need of a "freshen up" - but other than that its all positive. We booked early and got a great deal. The hotel is on the corner of George Street and Bond Street, close to the George St exit from Wynyard train station. It is close to... More

Staying in Central Business District

Neighborhood Profile
Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.
