We stayed here for 4 nights in the opera deluxe. Without a doubt these rooms have the most iconic views of the sydney harbor. The service is beyond exceptional and these 2 are the main reasons why this hotel is probably the most expensive hotel in sydney. Don't forget getting a water taxi right outside the hotel and take a... More

Food was ordinary and service was slow. It was a rather disappointing experience after hearing of the new changes and chef. Park Hyatt restaurant needs to lift their game to be competitive. Great location and views.

My wife & I had a great weekend stay at the Park Hyatt. It is a hotel that I've always wanted to visit & it didn't disappoint. Well-appointed (yet understated) rooms; stunning views (as you would expect); great service & excellent breakfast service. Our only negative was that there was a lot of external street noise overnight (pedestrians drinking in... More

This hotel has the best location in Sydney as it is really the only one on the Sydney Harbor! The staff is super friendly and the views are incredible. Really there are no negatives. Visited for our 9th anniversary and now we have memories filled with great dining within in walking distance, peaceful nights, and amazing views of the harbor.... More

We don’t usually have trouble choosing titles for our reviews. Some are self-evident (see our review of “Frying Nemo”). But this time we had to struggle, because this is an unusual hotel. Among other titles for this review, we considered “Romance on The Rocks”, “Ultimate Room with a View”, and others. It was so difficult to encapsulate our feelings. Maybe... More

Great location and views from various exits and angles. Located just steps from the ferry and the Opera House this hotel can't be beat when visiting Sydney. Pricing is as you would expect from a hotel of this caliber. I wished the restaurant would have had a wider selection on their menu, but what they do make they prepare well,... More

Friends and I recently stayed here for a weekend away to Sydney. Having stayed at other Hyatt's, I was expecting a lot from Park Hyatt Sydney as it is known to be one of the best - and I now know why. The location was pure perfection - it would be any hotel's dream to be located in such a... More

Thoroughly enjoyed our weekend stay at this top class hotel which is situated in a prime location on Sydney's Circular Quay. Breakfast was included in our room rate and was of a very high standard - nothing was too much trouble for the staff, who remembered our preferences on the second day.

Staying in The Rocks

Neighborhood Profile
The Rocks
The first residents of the Rocks were convicts and sailors from the old nation. As the oldest neighborhood in the city, the area's cobblestone streets host more than 100 heritage sites and buildings, including the oldest house in Sydney, Camden Cottage, which was built in 1816. Taste a “midi “ or a “schooner” of beer and dine “al fresco” on the waterfront at some of the oldest pubs in Sydney. The weekend markets at the Rocks are where you can find local artists' hand-made souvenirs, organic food and designer jewelry in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. To enjoy some of the best Australian and international contemporary art, the MCA museum is open every day and select evenings. At the end of a long day of sightseeing, be sure to save energy to dance the night away at the area's many late night entertainment venues.
