We enjoyed our recent anniversary at this amazing hotel. It is so central to the Rocks, Circular Quay and CBD. The view of the Sydney Opera House is unrivaled. The service is impeccable. We will definitely return for future stays
We did a staycation here with redemption miles for one Saturday evening for the purpose of my birthday and baby moon with toddler in tow. Due to this, we were in a rear facing room which still overlooked the harbour and bridge on level 3. I was told at check in that they try to upgrade all redemption bookings but were fully booked that evening except for one remaining suite. We weren't disappointed either way as it was a free night but I would say that the room itself needed updating in the bathroom to match the quality of the rest of the rooms in the hotel. I'm unsure what they sell our room category for but if I had paid for it, I would definitely be a little upset. Our King room was still HUGE for a city hotel, with a separate lounge and dining table. There was plenty of room for us 3 and it wouldn't have felt crowded at all had we stayed longer than the one night. Nonetheless, we still enjoyed out mini staycation. We had dinner in the Living Room and breakfast the next morning in the Dining Room. We also spent some time upstairs in the spa as the pool was too cold to swim in. Our tot enjoyed the bubbles in the spa as she was really keen on getting in the pool so at least she wasn't entirely stripped of water play. There isn't a bar as such upstairs but there was an attendant (I believe) that could assist should you need something to drink. I think I counted around 16 loungers and a small dining area but it wasn't crowded after breakfast when we went up on the Sunday morning. The hotel itself is very small scale when comparing to other Hyatt chains - which for some reason took me by surprise. But due to that, it never felt crowded and the wait for the lift was bare minimal if at all. Room service was very speedy. The staff were always friendly and polite, especially to our child. There is turndown service but no sweets left - just water by the bed. Also being in a rear racing room, we didn't encounter any noise in the evening and the blackout blinds were a godsend otherwise street lights will flood the room. We appreciate the little toys that were gifted to our child upon check in. Super cute and she loved taking them with her when we left the room. We live in Sydney but for the tourist staying for the first time and already splurging on a room at the Park Hyatt, I would highly recommend you book out a room facing the Opera House for sure.…
Flew 16 hours to stay in a suite here for 17 nights. The FIRST NIGHT, it was so loud it was impossible to sleep. I spoke to the front desk, and they told me the music from the "event" they had booked near the room would be off by 10. After 10, when it wasn't off, I called back and they explained that I must have been given some bad information and that the music would continue and nothing could be done because the event had been "booked." I explained that my suite had also been booked, and obviously wasn't intended to be in the middle of a dance party. They told me that they had cheaper rooms that I could switch to, away from the party, and then I could move back after. Which is great, because the whole point of me coming to Sydney was to spend hours complaining about the room and then having to move back and forth a bunch between rooms in a hotel. A fun "privilege" I was paying over $1,000 a night for. My real problem with the place is that they just didn't care about my experience at all. I'm stunned. This used to be my favorite hotel in Sydney and now I'm in a crappy side room for the night and then figuring where to spend my next 16 nights in Sydney instead of here.…
Very suprising experience and I gave it two chances before it happened a third time. We stayed two nights in the Opera View Room for our engagement and my 40th birthday. We went to the Living Room three times and each time we were blatantly ignored. Again, perhaps they were short staffed post Covid so we gave them multiple chances but we simply could not get served. Eventually we did this morning but we were charged for the champagne which we brought from the room as part of the package we paid for. I put it down to not being Asian. All other parties were well attended to but we were the only white people. Upsetting experience.
Excellent stay with great food and facilities. In room dining and the restaurants delivering above average experiences. The team were friendly and helpful. Perfect location for a getaway or weekend celebration
