No fresh air or balcony, a room that is the size of a shoebox when there is 2 adults living for 2 weeks. A room that is old and isn’t modern. Windows that are dirty and never seemed to be clean. A table not big enough for 2 adults to eat. Only 1 chair to eat when there’s 2 of us. Bugs in your food. Only positive is the food most times here at Mercure Hotel. I do hope future quarantines do not stay here. I’m lucky to be back but not for paying 4K for this room!

We stayed here with our 4 and 2 year old for a city getaway. The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. We stayed in a room with 2 queen beds so there was plenty of room for the little ones. My kids also loved the indoor pool and we enjoyed the hotel restaurant for breakfast. This hotel is also an easy 5min walk to central station.

Have stayed here many times and again came through even in these uncertain times. Brilliant location with buses at thefront door or a short walk via the subway underpass to Central station and Chalmers street for the trams to Randwick or the Quay Thr staff are masked up and doing the right thing as we were. The Platform 818 meal with truffle was brilliant You can expect breakfast in a box in your room but there is no way around the magnificent buffet generally provided given these times. We had a beautiful room provided and we will be back.

THANK YOU Mercure Sydney After what was a Roller-coaster couple of weeks the Birthday Celebration went better than I could possibly have expected, considering the challenges COVID put in the way. Here are just some of the Highlights - Pre-Function - yes there were 203 phone calls and 132 seating plans and 4 menus as the ground was simply shifting under our feet - more importantly we got there due to great work from Cassandra / Sarah / Trudy - despite many challenges the hand offs between each of you made things actually easier than it could have been considering the current environment. - Reception / Concierge were brilliant (Connor / Mo / Victoria) thanks for making everything so easy and all the check ins for people staying at the hotels were just so easy - Food & Berverages - yes we did have to deal with a moving feast when it came to menu, seating, etc (Akshay/Choi thanks so much for your flexibility and care in setting things up) - everyone loved the setup of the room - Pre-Drinks - everyone commented on how good the 818 drinks were and thanks for the little show Akshay - dry ice is so much fun as well as a little floss - Food - what can I say everybody loved it (especially the Squid ink Bao) - thanks for also making the special meals seamless (A bonus is Spice Alley just around the corner) It is in times such as this that you see the true quality of good people and organisations - thank you oh so much for creating wonderful Shared Memories for myself, family and friends

We have stayed at the Mercure on several occasions and it is always good but this stay was beyond great. The staff went over and above to make our stay special in these unusual times. Everyone from the reception to the bar were extremely professional with their safe practices. Lovely room, great location. We will be back.
