Apartments here have the most amazing views over Darling harbour. They are central to all facilities, restaurants, shops etc. It’s a pity the old elevated railway, which had a station joining the building, has been removed as it provided superb Sydney inner ring transport - but it’s gone now! A word of warning - do not use the local ‘convenience...

This used to be The Grand Mercure, it's now a residential block. Trip Advisor have it listed as a hotel, so my review goes here. Apartments are self contained. As the apartments are privately owned and managed, there's no consistency in furnishings. Ours was a little shabby, and main bed a bit dodgy, but overall it was very comfortable and...

To pull up outside Pier One you are greeted with a valet to take your bags and your car. Once inside you are offered a cold bottle of water or a glass of bubbles... Bubbles thank you. Everything happened so seamlessly. We spent the day on a boat on the harbour. Our room was not big but had everything you...

Staying in Central Business District

Neighborhood Profile
Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.
