Greeted by welcoming & helpful staff who checked us in early with a great room on the 24th floor, they sent us a bottle of wine and some flowers with a personalised card for our anniversary. We felt so relaxed and enjoyed the stay with all the special treatment and small touches the hotel had to offer. We selected the room that came with Club Lounge entry, and even though the lounge was not in operation due to Covid, we had a full buffet breakfast, afternoon tea & canapés served to us at the bar (with live music) on level 8, we were pretty satisfied, and the quality of the food is superb (try the omelet with everything), the table staff actually talk to you. It's so close to the shops. We attended the Elvis and Beatles show across the road at the State Theatre, that was an amazing show! The spa on level 10 in the hotel was fantastic. My wife and I were very impressed with the quality of service. We've already planned a return visit. Thank you to Suzanne & all the staff for a memorable stay. The trick with parking is to use the drop off zone at the front of the hotel to un/load your luggage before parking.

From the moment I pulled up outside the hotel to the end, a fine example of how a 5 star hotel should look after guests! Greeted by name from the start and going beyond to ensure a comfortable stay. Great to see pro-active thinking when issues arise. Refreshing to see that the pandemic is not constantly used as an excuse for poor service, something that I have had to grow used to staying at other 5 star hotels in Sydney. Well done to all staff and thank you for reassuring us that we can access a great hotel.

Great service from Vimbai ! She was fantastic and attentive during our stay. This is why we love staying at this hotel. Check in was extended - 8 or so people were waiting for over 10 minutes - this was a bit frustrating. The afternoon tea and canapés were excellent.

Despite great location, we were charged $60 to park our car streets away. After a long drive, having to get back in the car and find the allocated car park, then hauling bags through the city, back to the hotel. Not the best start. Not sure how the hotel/room has been awarded 5*? We have stayed in many 5* hotels all over the world and this is not one. I have stayed here previously a few years ago and the standard has declined significantly since then. Friendly reception, grumpy side kick person presented with a surly manner, eye rolling and a dismissive/arrogant attitude. Trying to unload his comments to the person who was welcoming us, who was quite obviously embarrassed in front of us. We were promised a lovely room on 15th floor. We were allocated a small room, with a large wheelchair accessible bathroom, next to the lift. Small towels, no spare for my hair, an old fashioned powerless hairdryer and no body lotion-very basic to all hotels. Sadly a welcome drink of cold water was not provided in or even out of the fridge. There was a limited selection of cheap instant tea coffee/tea bags-more indicative of a basic motel room than a 5* hotel. Altogether somewhat underwhelming and disappointing Swisshotel. Finally-put a welcoming, smiling, inviting, meet and greet person at the front of your service, on the ground level, offering support and assistance in the first instance. Many more stays in Sydney planned, not sure we’ll be back to Swissotel.

This is my favourite hotel in Sydney. The service is absolutely outstanding. One time I left something in the room and the manager found it and held onto it for me until next time I stayed at the hotel. The reception area is really cool, up on level 8, away from the hustle and bustle of the street, with a great ambience. The entry on the ground floor also has staff there who are invariably very friendly. They order cabs for you, help get bags out of cabs for you and generally do all the jostling that is required on Market Street at peak and even non-peak times. The actual rooms are super cool. Views over Centrepoint are obviously better, but even the non-premium side have cool views over the CBD. The shower pressure is absolutely fantastic, and the bathroom products are Purovel. The beds have this super premium sheeting, which I'm pretty sure costs many dollars, and it's just so soft, like sleeping in a cloud. Some of the rooms I've stayed in have bathtubs that have huge windows, which is just awesome. One thing I would say that hasn't been so good there is the speed of room service or if you ask for extra towels or something. Sometimes the wait when you call up is quite lengthy, and then so is the wait for whatever it is you actually ask for. No way that is enough of an issue for me to remove a star; everything else is just so good.
