Hotel's Favorite
After staying at the brand new Swissotel Jakarta in December 2019, Swissotel to celebrate late Valentine's day with my partner who lives interstate. Guess what? We loved our stay. I would like to thank Maggie and Yuz from the Reservations team for looking after our booking and making sure it was seamless. You guys rock! The suite room was so beautiful and spacious. We stayed in room 1613 next to the lifts but trust me we couldn't hear anything from our bedroom except at the time when we used the toilet :-) We were welcomed by Katrina on arrival and assisted by Sally on departure at the Front Desk. Both ladies were efficient, professional, friendly and helpful. Not to forget Thiago was so kind as well. Last but not least, thanks for going above and beyond Susmita from the Executive Lounge. You're always ready to assist us. We highly recommend anyone looking to stay at the heart of Sydney to book your stay at Swissotel. Location wise is so strategic close to the Trem and Town Hall trains. Westfield and the nearby big dept stores are just steps away. Book directly on their website, become an Accor member and you'll be looked after like a royal.

Thank you for a great stay. The Swiss is in a great location in Sydney. The staff were friendly and attentive. As it was our wedding anniversary we given an upgrade for our room and received a beautiful bottle of wine to help celebrate. Thank you Swiss.

Having now stayed at many Accor hotels in Sydney we now have a standard to compare to. Rooms were nice and location is great for the shopper but being Accor members they didn’t honour our 50% discount with breakfast. One of our kids was 5 and they only gave us 25% off. Food and drinks were expensive and I definitely don’t rate the breakfast for the price. I think Accor really needs to start offering better deals for their members as a non member can get almost a better deal without paying the yearly fee.

We were originally booked into the Sofitel Wentworth (another Accor hotel in Sydney) but a month out from our booking, which was made in March, I received an email letting me know that our accommodation had to change as The Sofitel was now a quarantine hotel. I asked which of their “sister hotels” would give us a similar experience to that of the Sofitel which we had stayed in previously and loved. When we stayed at the Sofitel we had the club lounge experience which included wonderful service, beautiful food, a drinks and canapés 2 hour window before dinner and an amazing breakfast. We were promised a similar club lounge experience at Swissotel and were nothing but disappointed and frustrated by the incompetence of the staff and very ordinary food. They were clearly understaffed and we waited ridiculously long periods of time to be served and had to repeatedly flag down staff to remind them that we still hadn’t been served. We also met some ladies by the pool who waited almost 2 hrs for a bucket of ice and some glasses for a bottle of champagne they were hoping to have poolside. After 2 hours and constantly going back down to check it was still coming, they gave up and returned to their rooms. Another 2 ladies had ordered food poolside and gave up on waiting also. The talk of the poolside was quite laughable as we all shared our stories of the comedy of errors that was the Swissotel. We will not be returning any time soon and do not recommend.
