Good service, attentive staff. If you are more into fancy styling and upscale dining then this is a good place to stay. Rooms are spacious, breakfast is decent. Food is expensive. Should eat outside. Got an Upgrade as an Ambassador, but nothing stood out to me.

Welcoming in the weekend with a Friday night stay-cation. Checkin staff friendly and helpful. With what I know now, I would have liked club access and if offered at check in you should snap it up. The hotel is very nice and room also nicely appointed. Bed is super comfortable and decent in room robes - no complaints. A few... More

This was our third stay at the InterContinental and we would stay here again if we ever make it all the way back to Sydney because of the fabulous views of the harbor and the location near the Opera House, the Botanical Gardens and other sightseeing attractions. There are also a number of excellent dining options within walking distance. The... More

I was very lucky to stay as a Guest at the Intercontinental. Lovely room with a beautiful Harbor view. There is something so wonderful about that blue harbor, bridge and Opera House. Such a comfortable bed and pillows. Lovely bathroom with nice products. It would be hard to match this spot for Location. Easy walk to Circular Quay, The Rocks,... More

Did not get what I booked. Booked club room and lounge, ended up with neither. Booked through IHG app - never again. I did everything to ensure that what I booked is what I was going to get, I called them, double checked my booking and yet they told me I was wrong. I think this hotel is comfortable and yes... Stay Report - 8/24 - 8/26 IHG Platinum staying on a Club Rate Check In: No issue getting our room at 12:30 PM when we arrived. Very friendly service from the check in agent who thanked me for my loyalty and explained the features of the hotel. All service from the front desk this trip was great. Room: This is... More

The hotel is in a great location, a couple of blocks from both Circular Quay and the Botanical Gardens. The rooms are a reasonable size with great beds and the ability to order a specific pillow type. For a 5star hotel I thought the tv was on the small side. However the main reason I gave the hotel a 4... More

The Intercontinental is not my usual standard of hotel but we stayed there first time we went to Sydney and decided it was worth the expense again. The are probably many hotels that have such an excellent location. It is a two minute walk to Sydney Opera House, the same to Circular Quay where you can catch the ferries to... More

1)Our good experience was unfortunately taken back when our room was shockingly opened at 1.30am by their master key . I was disrobed and sleeping and I woke in a huge fright when my Husband Mr. Tan shouted out aloud in fright and ran to the door when the man in uniform opened our door to come in. He asked... More

I have just finished a stay with two friends in the Intercontinental Sydney for my birthday and another friends birthday. As always our stay was perfect. Staying in Central Business District

Neighborhood Profile
Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.
