Fantastic location and service. Arrived 7am and were in our room by 8. Thank you for a great service. 2 min walk from circular quay. Had a Harbour view room with side views to opera house. Well worth the extra money. Will stay again. Very good breakfast buffet.

Very close to most main attractions & public transport including ferrys. Well appointed rooms with generous executive desk & facilities. Great city views offering casual cafe style meals for informal meetings & extensive seafood buffet lunches to impress valet parking & local to shops everything you could need for a short or long stay in Sydney.

Travelers: Family of 3 (2.5 year old) Room Selected: Room 1416 - King City View Check-in: We arrived on our holiday from Japan on the red-eye flight, so I was a bit worried about checking into the hotel. When we arrived at 10am, our room was already prepared, which was fantastic. We really appreciated the friendly and courteous staff. Room:... More

We arrived early in the morning from an overnight flight from LA. Our room was not ready. Bur we understood because this happens when you check in early. However they said give us about 90 minutes and we will have your room ready. So we took a nice walk across the street to the Royal Botanic Gardens. When we came... More

We were invited to the posh InterContinental Hotel, situated in the heart of Sydney, by friends from back home who were staying there. We met at the Opera Cafe in the afternoon, arriving early in order to have time to tour the hotel which was beautiful, featuring imposing columns and arches. Our friends joined us later and said they had... More

We were staying locally and our hotel recommended the intercontinental for a seafood buffet. The cold food was lovely plenty of prawns, mussels and crab however the hot meals were a disappointment. There wasn't much and staff had a when its gone it's gone attitude (even 20 minutes into the 2 hour seating) and the hot food appeared to dry... More

We arrived at 1pm, an hour before check in and were told our room wasn't ready and they would text us when it was. We walked around the Harbour and returned at 230pm to ask why we hadn't been contacted about our room, only to be told that we hadn't checked in properly and our details weren't in their system.... My boyfriend works in tourism and he was offered a special rate for a room with a harbour view. He originally booked one night through a discount site but a girl at work spoke to the concierge and arranged the special rate. We also decided to stay three nights instead of one because of this rate. We believed we would... More

Staying in Central Business District

Neighborhood Profile
Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.
