The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.
The Ibis World Market is a typical Ibis hotel in that it's basic room is a bit Spartan. However, the staff was very friendly and helpful, and the location is great if you enjoy Asian food. It's only a couple blocks from the Chinatown area and also a couple of blocks from Hyde Park and a number of museums and other attractions. The train station is only a few blocks away as well, and there is a supermarket directly across the street in a shopping center with a food court. Overall, we were satisfied with the hotel and pleased with the surrounding area.
We had another successful stay in this property last winter and enjoyed the pleasant service and practical room prior to catching our train up the Coast. This Hotel is well placed for access to the main train station.
staff were very friendly. easy check in with no problem. simple but clean room. location is great for shopping and food hopping. they serve room service also which is very helpful when you are tired from meetings and shopping. price of room is very reasonable
Location is great is in central business district close to rail station and bus line. Staff was extremely welcoming and helpful. My reason for just okay rating was very small rooms with a very high nightly charge amenities we're fine. But other than location nothing to brag about
The staff were very friendly and accommodating, giving us a later check-out of 12:30 was greatly appreciated. the location is great within easy walking distance from central or museum stations, a nice walk to darling harbour. Rooms were clean and considering the location on busy Pitt Street were quiet. The beds were comfortable and we slept well.

Depends on how much luggage you have. A taxi to the city is not that expensive from the airport especially if there is at least 2 or more of you it will be cheaper than buying individual train tickets. The next easiest (& quickest) way from airport is the train to Central station, but tickets are around $15-$18 (it has been a while since I have caught the train) from there you can either walk about 10-15 minutes, or get a taxi about 5 minutes drive. Alternatively you can get off at Museum station and again walk (only 5 minutes away). I hope this helps.
