An excellent hotel in every way
My 3 night stay was just perfect. Check-in was a smooth and quick process, my Partial Harbour View room was gorgeous with a glimpse of the Harbour bridge. My bed was very comfortable and the black-out blinds were very welcome and allowed me to sleep in easily each day. My room was serviced twice a day and I never wanted for anything. All the staff I interacted with very friendly and helpful. The location is great for easily getting out and exploring the CBD area or for catching public transport. And lastly the buffet breakfast was the best I've ever experienced. The quality and variety of food was excellent, I was very impressed. I would definitely stay here again.

    Room with a View
If you’re visiting Sydney you must stay at the Four Seasons for the opera house and bridge view. My first visit was thirty-two years ago when it was know as the Regent. My family and I enjoy the view and walking to the quay, the location is perfect. The rooms are very clean and the bathrooms are small, particularly the showers. The housekeeping staff are attentive, however they arrive at your door too early in the morning. The indicator to request service is useless, they wake you regardless. The fruit basket when we arrived to our room was a nice surprise. My daughter was welcomed with a birthday greeting when checking in and a slice of chocolate cake was in her room. Sean the bell boy was very attentive, he made us all feel welcome while assisting us to our three rooms. Highly recommended.
Dear SoCal16, Thank you for leaving a review of Four Seasons Hotel Sydney. We are delighted to hear you enjoyed your stay with us, especially our iconic location, your accommodation and the attentive service you received. We apologise for any disturbances throughout your stay and any inconvenience this may have caused. We look forward to welcoming you again soon! Kind Regards, The Communications Team

    First class in every way.
We recently spent 6 nights here during our 3 week holiday in Australia and in this hotel we found as close to perfection as is possible. I read that many reviews mention the location and they're not wrong,Central Quay is one crossing away,The Rocks for bars and restaurants is a few minutes walk and the Opera House and Sydney Bridge only slightly longer. When we booked our room many months before we requested a room with a view, and boy did we get it,from lying on my pillow in bed i could see both the Opera House and the bridge and out across the harbour, spectacular!!,and our room was only on the tenth floor. Our room itself was exceptional and had more than ample storage,a very well stocked mini-bar an excellent spacious bathroom with both a separate bath and shower cubicle as well as many extras provided if required. The bed was huge and very comfortable with amazingly comfortable pillows that allowed for a perfect nights sleep. We did use the restaurant on our first night due to our late arrival and found it very good, although a tad pricey and minimal on portions. The bar on the ground floor seemed very popular whenever we called in and it's easy to see why,it has a nice laid back feeling with a nice touch of class and the prices are very reasonable considering the location. We never took breakfast during our stay as there were so many Cafes nearby that offered this and at a very fair price. The staff in the hotel really were first class at all times and were excellent in assisting us with excursions out as well as train journeys and taxis, nothing was ever too much trouble to them. So many thanks to all at Four Seasons, you have an incredible hotel with staff to match and you made our stay one that we will always remember very fondly.
Dear scaffolder1888, Thank you for taking the time to review Four Seasons Hotel Sydney. We are delighted to hear you enjoyed your stay with us, especially our iconic location, your room and as well as the attentive service you received. We hope to welcome you again soon! This hotel and the location was absolutely amazing! We had a corner room with the most fantastic view of the harbor and Sydney Opera House. Each morning we saw a beautiful sunrise. The room was impeccably clean and prepared. The breakfast and food in general was wonderful. The location is right on the harbor when there is incredible food, water taxis to take you around Sydney, and a vibrant nightlife. Our one area of feedback is that the pool and spa area could be updated a bit but the gym was amazing! We would like to especially call out the EXCEPTIONAL staff for their hospitality. Derek took care of our bags and from that moment on knew every one of our names and preferences and greeted us every morning. We hope your basketball season is going well, Derek! Illiara (unsure of spelling) was our concierge and she made sure we had a FANTASTIC time. The Opera House website was having trouble when we tried to book so she took our information and made sure Miss Saigon tickets were waiting in our room when we returned. She booked us dinner at Aria’s which has the most incredible view of the Opera House. She also recommended some fabulous speakeasy’s that can’t be missed. Her personality was infectious and we were so excited for all of her recommendations. Your staff is incredible! Some things to recommend: We did a private harbor cruise which was amazing (our boat was the M/V Ocean Blue), Darling Harbor was lovely for drinks, if you go to Bondi Beach, eat at Icebergs and do the Bondi to Coogee coastal walk, the Sydney bridge climb is a bit long but still a fun experience. Finally, we really liked Old Mate’s Place and the Baxter Inn for drinks! We also did a day trip to the Blue Mountains which were absolutely breathtaking.

Celebrated my 21st with my friend at the four seasons! We got upgraded to the partial harbour room and staff made sure to give a high level for the best view. Customer service was amazing, everyone was attentive, knew how to do their job and made sure your experience was great. The location is so convenient too. Breakfast buffet was nice, similar to what you’d get at most hotels!

My theory of travel is the longer the flight the better the hotel at the other end. That is why, after a series of flights going halfway round the world we stayed at the Four Seasons in Sydney ~ the first time. And, the hotel did not disappoint. In fact, it far exceeded our expectations so completely that we cancelled the reservation we had booked at a different Sydney hotel for the end of our trip and booked the Four Seasons again. The rooms are a bit small but they are well laid out and the beds are wonderfully comfortable. The shower had good water pressure. We were nervous when we found our one room was very close to the elevator but we never heard any noise. Chocolates on the pillow at night have apparently gone the way of turndown service. Housekeeping did bring a bucket of ice by each evening when they checked on us. Housekeeping was better some days than others but that was a very minor issue. The little extras like having adapters in the rooms is a thoughtful touch as is the nice sound system. On our second stay we were treated to an upgrade with a magnificent view of the Opera House. We appreciated the nice bottle of wine the management sent up. And, after a day of exploring the city, we would have a glass of wine and savour the magnificent view of the Sydney Opera House. The pool is outside and heated. So, even on chilly days, you can enjoy a swim. As others have mentioned you can hear cars on the highway nearby but the noise is not bad at all. The pool deck is comfortable and has plenty of lounges. The breakfast buffet offers (too) many delicious choices. The options change daily. The pastries are especially tempting. There is even a good selection of gluten free options. The staff is on the spot to take egg or beverage orders or clear plates. There are two bars/restaurants each with a different vibe. We had cocktails in both not dinner. It just depends on what you are in the mood for. We were very sorry to see the chocolate coffee pavlova had been taken off the menu between our stays. It was a delicious show stopper. The “substitute” the mustachioed waiter recommended was not it’s equal. Marco’s charm almost made us forget the pavlova we craved. The Four Seasons’ location is perfect. It is close to many restaurants and attractions. Probably the main reasons we decided to come back to the Four Seasons was the concierge staff ~in particular Grace and Illaria. Josh also was helpful. It was like we had arrived in Sydney to reunite with very knowledgeable friends. I realise that is the concierge’s job but they went above and beyond. They not only advised us on restaurants and local attractions but on wineries in Hunter Valley, and where to buy suitcases and opals too. They also let us know which places to avoid. Their advice and recommendations were always spot on. And, afterwards they were eager to hear what we thought of their advice. They were invaluable to the success of our trip. They even had bubble wrap on hand for us to pack up our treasures A hotel like Four Seasons is held to a higher standard than most other hotels. The negatives we experienced during our stays were very minor but, worth noting. (My travel partner thinks I am not gushing about the hotel enough.) I think it speaks volumes that we changed our plans to stay at the Four Seasons (again) at the end of our trip. And, we are so glad we did. It was a memorable trip and we had two memorable stays at the Four Seasons. Thank you.

Having experienced many hotels across many locations and price points, I have developed many preferences for what I enjoy in a property. This hotel and its superior management ticks all the boxes for me - quality, cleanliness, service, location and overall feel. Starting with a fantastic location at Circular Quay, adjacent to The Rocks area, the FS allows for an easy visit to wonderful Sydney and its vibrant waterfront, including the Sydney Harbor Bridge and the Opera House. Ferries to the zoo and to places like Manly Beach are right there, too, as well as zillions of restaurants and bars and the CBD. A favorite pub, the Lord Nelson, is just a 10 minute walk away. Our cozy room had a spectacular view of the Harbor, which was worth the upgrade to reinforce the reason to visit Sydney in the first place. What one comes to expect from a Four Seasons property is delivered in full - engaging staff who take ownership of the guest experience and work as a team to make certain everything in the stay is delivered as expected and as desired. We had loads of personal attention to every detail important to us, as well as responsiveness to any of our questions along the way. The physical facility is beautiful and understated. Our room was blissfully quiet and free from any neighbor noise. Housekeeping was flawless. As one hopes, the layout of the room is efficient and comfortable, allowing for a seamless daily experience. Everything we wanted was on hand, including high quality espresso in the lobby. We interacted with several members of the management team during our stay and found them to be exceptional in communicating with us and responding to our needs. Each one was engaging and helpful. They were a delight! It is easy to recommend the Sydney FS for a business or leisure stay. In fact, based on our experience, I cannot imagine a reason I would ever choose to stay anywhere else.

Wonderful staff at every encounter. Our partial harbour view, std room was very comfortable and yes on the 28th floor, etc there is a great view to the north west. A practical bathroom with both a separate shower and a bath were appreciated; as were the beautiful soft towels. The std of housekeeping for our 2 night stay was exceptional. Quick, efficient lifts also were noted. The hotel's location is excellent. An off street area for car / taxi transfers also worked well. Not all 4+ star hotels in Sydney can offer this. We chose to dine out; so I cannot comment on the hotel dining. This hotel's management team should be very proud of their embedded systems and training programs.

A smart hotel, which is very well located near Circular Quay, The Rocks, and Harbour Bridge. Ideal for sightseeing. Stayed twice during our visit to Australia; had rooms on higher floors with club access. Great views, particularly from the Club lounge. In the Club, a good drinks selection and nice buffet each evening with changing dishes. The staff in the lounge were amazing, very friendly, helpful and attentive. The rooms were not large but very comfortable. We had breakfast in both the Club and in the main restaurant (preferred the Club even though the main restaurant had a greater selection of dishes). We dined one evening in the restaurant which closed surprisingly early. Although the menu did not inspire us, the dished were very good. There is an open-air pool but it is close to a busy elevated road, so was a little noisy. Looking back it was a good choice, especially the Club lounge.

Everything about my stay was blissful. The view of the Sydney Harbour Bridge, Opera House and Sydney Harbour was sublime. Room service provided beautiful meals and cocktails. Aurora at Philippe Xavier Hairdresser at Four Seasons provided the best cut and colour. I felt totally revived after my weekend at Four Seasons Sydney and I encourage you to stay and select a room on the 28th floor with a view of the Harbour bridge and Opera House for a sublime stay that feels like a warm embrace.CB
