We booked in for Saturday night. All the staff were exceptional. From arrival to checkin lovely staff. Concierge very helpful. Highly recommend booking in advance. Room was very clean. We decided to try Mode Kitchen for afternoon tea. It was quite noisy. We were seated and after about 20 minutes we left as no one had served us. Only downside of our stay. For anyone with vertigo issues the carpet upstairs outside lifts and carpet leading to rooms is a challenge! This hotel is in a fabulous location, so close to the Rocks and the harbour. The sound proofing in rooms is really good, can’t hear city noise.

My 3 night stay was just perfect. Check-in was a smooth and quick process, my Partial Harbour View room was gorgeous with a glimpse of the Harbour bridge. My bed was very comfortable and the black-out blinds were very welcome and allowed me to sleep in easily each day. My room was serviced twice a day and I never wanted for anything. All the staff I interacted with very friendly and helpful. The location is great for easily getting out and exploring the CBD area or for catching public transport. And lastly the buffet breakfast was the best I've ever experienced. The quality and variety of food was excellent, I was very impressed. I would definitely stay here again.

Booked a full harbour view club room for a week’s stay with my husband. Although the room rate was pricey, the experience was totally worth it! Pros: 1) room - our room has an awesome view of the opera house. The comfortable four seasons bed made our stay enjoyable despite the minor problems noted below. Overall the lightning was good, the room temperature adjustment was great (we had experience in some five star hotels where the temperature is “automatically” adjusted even after manual adjustment). The room size is big enough for two people. We needed to occasionally work on our laptop and we didn’t request the ergonomic chair which I saw was available from the four seasons app. We should have requested that, as the small table and sofa was not comfortable enough for work and caused us back pain! I wanted to get a room with a proper work desk originally but the harbour view suite doesn’t seem to come with a property desk unlike the city view suite. Anyway we could work in the lounge too so it was overall fine. 2) lounge 32 - Access to club lounge was very convenient. It serves breakfast, afternoon refreshments, and tea time / early evening refreshments. We were originally contemplating the partial harbour view room without access to club lounge. As an afterthought, the price difference could give us unlimited access to Lounge (which serves various kinds of drinks) and breakfast, so we didn’t regret our choice! Things to improve / note 1) my friends from Sydney told me that the hotel is a bit dated. This was inevitable for a hotel which was built long time ago. (However, we still think the interior design and hardware of the room was far better than Shangri La next door - at least there are USB slots for us to plug our iPhone charger) For some reason, my husband and I often had difficulty pressing the lift button successfully to reach the 32nd floor. I once failed to get to the desired floor and a guest who entered the elevator subsequently saw my embarrassing situation, and told me that he had similar experience, so it appears that it was not the problem of our card. 2) The public area / lobby area also retain a rather dated vibes. The washroom for male and female on the ground floor (next to the restaurant Grain) had an undesirable smell of urine. It was rather unexpected for a five star hotel at this level to have such a public lavatory kind of foul smell. Perhaps the cleaning may need to be done better. 3) housekeeping service was fine. There was one minor omission when the housekeeping staff failed to replenish cotton pads (when I already finished using the existing pack). I had to leave a written note the next day so the housekeeper would give me a new pack of cotton pads. This is something I have never experienced in other four seasons branch. 4) minor design flaw - there is a gap between the shower room and the shower room door, so water may easily splash out if you want to shower “freely” by holding the shower hose, and wet the floor. We didn’t use the bath tub during our stay. 5) breakfast at the lounge - it appears that the selection of food at the lounge every morning is the same (or very similar). The 4-8 pm refreshments did change from time to time and we did enjoy the food during the period. 6) water pressure - The water pressure was also quite low although this may be a common problem with hotels in Australia. Overall, we still enjoyed our stay despite the minor hiccups above. The four seasons staff are friendly and kind. We do like the four seasons brand and we hope this hotel will continue to improve and beat other newer competitors like W Sydney (we didn’t pick it this time as my husband prefers classy hotel designs like four seasons). In view of the price and the quality of service we got, we still think it’s a bargain to stay at four seasons hotel Sydney. Tips: book early for the advanced purchase discount!

In dire need of a refurb. I have stayed at a number of four seasons around the world and this one is disappointing as it is very old and run down. The rooms are old tired. Unfortunately the gym is also small and has very old rusty equipment. The service is excellent as is the location, but I would not stay here again until the hotel has been renovated.

First time in Syd, Australia and I'm glad I chose 4 Seasons. The location is perfect. Easy walking distance to the Rocks area, Sydney Opera house, high end shopping stores, ferries, train, light rail tram and a plethora of restaurants and cafes. Tip if you want to save a few dollars you can take the train from airport and one of the stops is 400m/500m from hotel and its smooth, flat and very safe walk with your bags. I didn't get a room upgrade or king bed but I didn't mind. Bed and pillows were not as firm as I like but very comfortable. Not much closet or drawer space for 2 but for 1 its adequate. Fully stock mini bar and fridge with wine, alcohol, water, glasses, tea/coffee cups and snacks. Also a Nepresso machine and kettle with coffee and tea. USB ports at every outlet in the room for charging. Major plus, 2 outlet converters (not power converters) were provided for use with devices that can use either 120v/240v. 55 inch LG tv. Bose speaker that you can connect to with your bluetooth device. Bathroom is small for 2 especially if your partner travels with a bit of bathroom products. I was solo so wasn't affect by space. If your stay includes breakfast, you wont be disappointed in my opinion. Great buffet with too many items to list here. This 4 Seasons takes service seriously and I believe they hire only those who will take the same approach to service. Everyone smiles and will speak/greet you. The 2nd day of my stay as I showered unbeknownst to me the floor drain was regurgitating water. I called the front desk and a maintenance person was immediately dispatched to remedy the drain problem. I didn't ask for any compensation for this inconvenience because things happen but Sukanya insisted on going above and beyond on behalf of the hotel to make me feel like a very valued customer. Thank you Sukanya. Speaking of someone who will make you feel valued and special. As I waited in a crowed lobby for check-in on my arrival day I was approached by Ilaria. She warmly welcomed me to the Four Seasons with her warm smile light conversation to find out how I could be made comfortable while I waited. I thought maybe I was singled out as special but as I observed her as I waited this is her approach to everyone who she comes in contact with. You can tell when someone approach is because its their job. I believe its just genuinely who Ilaria is as a person which makes her perfect for her role. Thanks you Ilaria !! Four Seasons I will recommend you to anyone I know coming to Sydney Australia. Thanks!!

The place feels very dated and stuffy. It doesn’t have the intimacy a four seasons normally has. My room felt grubby and the housekeeping lady didn’t speak great English so what I asked never got done :( I normally stay at the Radisson not far from there but wanted to try something new. It won’t be that place. I didn’t feel treated very well there. Would give it a miss.

I simply cannot recommend the Four Seasons Sydney highly enough. From the moment you set foot inside the luxurious and decedent reception space you are made to feel welcomed, cared for and special. The breakfast buffet is 'next level', with so many selections, it is almost impossible to choose what to indulge in. The rooms are exceptionally well appointed and finishes are of a very high quality. The location is sublime, only a few steps into the historic Rocks district and Circular Quay. I will struggle to stay elsewhere now I have experienced the Four Seasons. 10/10 across all departments.
