We enjoyed the night of our wedding here in a deluxe view room. The room was large and incredibly well equipped. Mesmerising view and the bottle of champagne was a lovely touch. Breakfast the next morning ($40pp) was beautiful and there were many options. Unfortunately the check in staff weren't very friendly which was surprising as we were both still...

The room was nice but location is a little inconvenient, from hotel to metro is a little far and when we arrived you need to walk up with luggage was very tired but if no luggage it's much easier! And few station is QVB shopping mall and Korean town. But it's nice area only it's not so convenient!

I love staying at this hotel (except for 1 thing that I'll get to later). The location is wonderful, and the view is the best in Sydney. Many times I've stayed there and watched cruise ships arriving or leaving, sailing in between the opera house and harbour bridge - an amazing sight. The service is excellent although their breakfast cafe,...

I booked this hotel on behalf of my sister, for her 40th birthday. I had the choice of several situated around the Quay. This was not the cheapest. I booked via Booking.com, indicating my sister’s name as the guest. On the morning of her birthday, just to be sure, I called the front desk to ask if there’d be any...

I'm a regular at this hotel. It's clean, well and well run. Close proximity to the historic rocks area and a 7 min walk to downtown Sydney. 1 min walk to Harbour Bridge Climb. Views from top level bar are outstanding with panoramic views of the Harbour Bridge, drinks are ridiculously expensive up top!! $14 for a beer??? Corner suite...

Valet parking is very convenient and nothing to complain about. The location is close to Circular Quay and away from busy traffic. Easy to get in if you are driving your own car.The room is great. There are no electric blankets but the room is warm enough that you don't need one. We had a nice view of the Opera...

Staying in The Rocks

Neighborhood Profile
The Rocks
The first residents of the Rocks were convicts and sailors from the old nation. As the oldest neighborhood in the city, the area's cobblestone streets host more than 100 heritage sites and buildings, including the oldest house in Sydney, Camden Cottage, which was built in 1816. Taste a “midi “ or a “schooner” of beer and dine “al fresco” on the waterfront at some of the oldest pubs in Sydney. The weekend markets at the Rocks are where you can find local artists' hand-made souvenirs, organic food and designer jewelry in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. To enjoy some of the best Australian and international contemporary art, the MCA museum is open every day and select evenings. At the end of a long day of sightseeing, be sure to save energy to dance the night away at the area's many late night entertainment venues.
