My family and I were in Sydney for 3 nights and naturally as a Platinum Elite Member of the Marriott's reward, we chose this hotel. Unlucky for us that they were renovating their lobby so the appearance was not desirable. However, the experience and service that we received were above expectations from the minute we walked in to check-in to...

We were upgraded to a room with a view sf Sydney opera house. Very quiet rooms. Good location for sightseeing. They are working on a new lobby which will be very good when finished. Caused us no problems.

After a short drive from the International airport, we arrived at our hotel with mixed anticipation. The construction was nearing completion of the lobby, but caused little to no inconvenience. Our check-in, receiving the room requested, was fast and we were on our way to the elevators. After a 30 second wait for the elevator, we arrived at our room....

Very nice hotel. Staff was very accommodating. There was construction while we were there Feb 25 to 28, but wasn't an issue. Exec Lounge was a bit spartan, but food was good and service excellent. Beat thing about this hotel is the location, a stones throw from Circular Quay and the Rocks. Easy walk from the airport train. Highly recommended.

Hotel is located within a few minutes walk from the Opera House, Quay and the Rocks area. Rooms nice and spacious. Beds are very good as allways with Marriott very good sleeping quality. The breakfast restaurnat is not living up the standard for a Mariott hotel. Breakfast quality ok, but the surroundings extremely boring - no comfy feeling. Long que...

Stayed at the hotel for a week for business. Firstly the staff are very friendly and kind, the rooms are lovely and clean and the hotel is in a wonderful location. However, it's around $200 a night, without breakfast or parking which then takes it up to $300 (there were two of us). Really parking should be discounted for people...

This has been a great hotel. This was our fourth stay here and it is the 'go to' hotel in Sydney for us. Its location near Circular Quay; and the proximity to the transport hubs and attractions make it very attractive. We were fortunate enough to be ungraded to a wonderful Bridge View Spa Suite on the 31st floor, which...

You're so close to the water and Quay Harbor, but the construction going on is annoying. I waited 20 mins to get an elevator I could get into with my luggage the day I left due to so few being in service thanks to the construction. I feel like they shouldn't charge full price while this construction is happening. Most...

This is a typical Marriott hotel which is perfectly located to explore the Sydney Harbor especially the circular Quay area. The intercity train has a station at Circular Quay and it is a five minute walk to the hotel. Unfortunately the property is remodeling the lobby so it was a bit of a mess. We were warned before hand so...

We stayed here for almost a week following a cruise and checked out this morning. Hotel is very close to where our ship had docked, if you have small amount of luggage, very easily walkable (but we been away 6 weeks, so it was taxi for us!) very charming receptionist and check in done without delay. Our room was upgraded...

Staying in Central Business District

Neighborhood Profile
Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.
