This is not a 5 star hotel. But I have to give this Marriott high scores for almost everything. The staff was friendly and helpful. They held our luggage until our room was ready. The price was excellent for the location. Speaking of location, the waterfront, Opera House and sky Tower are within walking distance. The train station is just down the street. The elevators were very fast which I like. The room was excellent. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was roomy enough. The on,y thing I would take points away is the restaurants. One was very expensive and one was just ok food. There are plenty of restaurants within walking distance. I would certainly stay here again.

Hotel's Favorite
This was our first stay in this hotel and it was largely a very positive experience. We enjoyed a Bridge View room on an upper floor. While it is the case that building demolition was taking place directly opposite our room, this did not negatively impact our stay and the view of the bridge, although it required looking sideways out the window, was quite appealing. We found the room clean and well-equipped. Owing to Covid restrictions there was no mini-bar and limited reading material. We did feel that more information, for example regarding room service, could have been provided on the TV, though we eventually found a QR code that provide the relevant information. We found the breakfast very satisfying with a good range of food to choose from and very tasty made-to-order omelettes. We were a little disappointed that the Three Bottle Man bar had very restricted opening hours. There seemed to be very limited options for an after-show drink inside the hotel. Nevertheless, the service overall was very good and the location, a short walk from Circular Quay and the Opera House is excellent. We look forward to staying there again.

We were on the last leg of our trip. We had just a one night stay in Sydney left before our venture back home to the states. We were on our honeymoon, which was ending, so we were a bit sad but TJ at the front desk turned it around! She recognized we were on our honeymoon and welcomed us with a big smile. She and her guest services team were able to give us an upgrade and a great bottle of wine to celebrate. The room was nice and clean plus the view was spectacular! Would certainly recommend this hotel to anyone venturing into Sydney.

My husband and I spent 5 nights at the Sydney Harbour Marriott - the Concierge, Solomon, provided exemplary service. He was extremely knowledgeable of the area and always went the extra mile to provide assistance. The Marriott at Sydney Harbour is a wonderful location, however, I take the time to write this review to acknowledge this outstanding employee. Solomon could teach a class in customer service that others should emulate. . . The Harris' from Georgia

Beautiful hotel in the perfect location. We were able to walk to the rocks, opera house, Chinatown, botanical gardens, ferries, bridge, transit hub, botanical gardens, restaurants, shops... we were even able to roll our luggage onto our cruise ship in the harbor. Our room 2702 had a view of the harbor and opera house. It was clean, well-equipped and very comfortable for a week. The toiletries were lovely, towels robes and linens plush, Safe, NESPRESSO, tea kettle, fridge ... perfect. The water pressure was great, room was quiet, king bed very comfortable and air conditioning cooling. All of the lighting, outlets, adapters, rack for our suitcases and the bathroom counter that was the length of the room made a big difference. Since we are elite members we enjoyed a complementary Buffet breakfast, afternoon snacks and canopies with cocktails every evening. The executive lounge on 2 was large, clean, well staffed & stocked. Breakfast was delicious & extensive from cappuccinos and an assortment of teas to smoked salmon, breads, cereals, meats, fresh fruit, cheeses, yogurts, pastries, juices, eggs to order .... I was impressed with the assorted milk selection including almond & soy. Our Evening buffet was decadent. We enjoyed fruits, meats cheeses, salads, soups, chicken, meat pies, vegetables, cookies, cheesecakes, chocolate tarts, beers, wines, sparkling, sodas, coffees, cocktails .... Foods were fresh, refreshed, nand beautifully presented. The pool, sauna, spa and gym are on the fourth floor. The huge gym had three sections with cardio, free weights, and machines. The equipment was very clean and inviting. A sign indicated that the gym is currently being renovated. Spa treatments are offered here and there are many treatment rooms. The best part of the hotel are the concierges. Solomon and Alan was so knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. They were able to secure kangaroo jerky for us and recommended excellent restaurants and places for photographs. I felt ill and Solomon went out of his way to assist with medical care. Housekeeping was on point. The staff in the executive lounge kept the food replenished, removed rubbish and were helpful and friendly throughout. I hate to leave I hope we will come back again!

We spent 4 nights in a high floor with Opera House view. The view is spectacular. The room was a comfortable size with 2 chairs and a king bed. The room is modern but the furniture is modular in appearance and not the quality I would expect. That said, it is all about the view and location and that gets full marks. We had access to the Executive Lounge on level 2. The food, drinks and service was above my expectations. Hot breakfast in the morning and open bar and snacks in the evening. The only missing element was a view. Staff is working hard, but cleaning has some misses. This is an excellent choice for a Sydney stay.

We stayed here twice in October, once for 4 days near the beginning of the month and again at the end of the month. Both stays were excellent and we were upgraded to an Opera House view both times so our room was very nice. Everyone was exceptionally nice especially the concierge who went out of his way both stays to help with reservations for dinner. I did find it odd some of the opening hours of their restaurant and bars, but I guess that is a resource issue. The best part is the location. 2 blocks from the cruise dock, railroad station, tons of restaurants etc. Highly convenient.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. We used points to book the room. As is often the case with using points, we did not get a great room. It was right by the elevator and the décor was a bit tired. The room and bathroom were a decent size, the bed was comfortable and the location was convenient to the train station and Circular Quay. We opted to include breakfast, buffet style, and it was good. I had advised the hotel that we would be arriving early and they did have our room ready when we arrived, which was also good. The problem came on checkout. We had an early flight to Darwin so we had to leave the hotel at 6 am. To speed things up, we used the express checkout by dropping our key cards in the box provided. During our stay, we did not charge anything to our room. After arriving in Darwin, I received an e-mail with an attached receipt for a charge to my credit card. When I enquired about the charge, I was told I had ordered room service. I had not. There were several e-mail exchanges back and forth before the hotel finally agreed to refund my money. By then, a few days had gone by and, with a change in the exchange rate, I was refunded $4.87 less than I had been charged. This mistake is really unacceptable. How did someone charge two meals to my room? Is there not a requirement to have guests sign for room service? This experience ruined my impression of the hotel and dropped it from four to three stars.

Great hotel in a great location. Easy access to Circular quay and all the transport from there including the train to and from the airport. Our room was very comfortable with a great view of the Opera House. The daily buffet breakfust was excellent with lots of hot and cold foods available. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and made our stay very pleasant. Would stay again

Pros: -Great CBD location, easy jumping off point to explore greater Sydney and convenient to anything you might need along the way (restaurants, pharmacy, public transport etc.). -Lovely staff - every person I interacted with was great. -Room is quiet, bed is comfortable. Cons: -Seems like they may not have fully recovered from the pandemic in terms of housekeeping. There was trash in the bin and it was clear my room hadn’t been vacuumed upon check-in. There was dirt/debris in the hallways that sat there for 2-3 days before it was cleaned up. The daily room cleanings were adequate but not excellent. -The shower has no pressure and it was very challenging to get the right temperature (same with sink). -At times, it could be a 10 minute wait for an elevator and when you eventually got one, it was packed like a cattle car.
