At very short notice I needed a place to stay in Sydney for 2 nights and the Pullman was easily the cheapest 5 star hotel, total cost was $470. The room was a good size with a lovely view across Hyde Park and the city, I was on the 11th floor. The bathroom had all I needed and the king...

We stayed here for a week before we went on our cruise and the hotel was amazing! Rooms were lovely and clean and spacious. Restaurant for breakfast was delicious. All front office staff were very friendly and helpful and Paul in the bar was fantastic, paul knew our drink orders as soon as we walked in and was amazing with...

I have nothing but good things to say about the Pullman Hyde Park. The staff were helpful and knowledgable. Rooms and bathrooms are spacious. Nice view. Not too noisy as you would expect in an inner city room.

I booked a junior suite with spa for 2 nights. I am a gold Accor member which would normally get me an upgrade, but the hotel was fully booked, and I wouldn't have accepted one anyway as I had booked the exact room that I wanted. Check in was efficient, but it took us a while to get to our...

Dear MickyBtravel, Thank you for reviewing The Pullman Sydney Hyde Park on tripadvisor. I would also like to thank you for being a loyal member of Accor. Still in the hotel as I'm writing this note. Welcome was just basic Saturday night after a 22h-flight. Room is just ok however nearby the lifts. Have tried to reach the reception desk (dial9) at a few occasions to have another pillow but was a challenge to reach someone on the phone. Sauna is not really working... My stay is...

So, for an apparently 5 star hotel, the Pullman I'm afraid just doesn't cut it. First, the positives: it's location is great, nice views across the park or to East Sydney; big points for the rooftop pool; and the service from staff was fine. Now, the negatives: spending $400 on a standard twin and being asked to cough up another...

I stayed here on a recent 3-day trip to Sydney. The location is great; about a five minute walk from Museum station, on the airport line. About a five minute walk to Pitt St mall and Sydney Tower and about 20 minute walk to Circular Quay. On the quiet side of Hyde Park, so no hellish traffic outside. Staff were...

Sadly our first impressions weren't good as we had to wait for nearly 30 mins to check in - and that was at the priority check in counter (I'm a member of their Privileges Plus club) and there was only one person in front of us who was already being served when we arrived. After making us wait for so...

Looking for a 5 star experience for under $300. Pullman is probably about 4 and a half - between Novotel and Sofitel, so for the $270 we paid, which included 2 double beds, this represents excellent value - especially for a family of four. Elegant hotel in a great location. We pre-ordered valet parking for $55 still a bit pricey...

Staying in Darlinghurst

Neighborhood Profile
Darlinghurst
Home of the small bar revolution in Sydney, Darlinghurst has more bars per capita than any other suburb. Themes range from American whiskey bars and 1950’s theme bars to hidden bars requiring secret passwords. Oxford Street is the "Gay Capital" of Australia, where gay and lesbian-friendly venues feature “diva shows” and dancing until the morning. Vintage lovers flock to Crown Street, and small designer boutiques can be found along Victoria and Bourke Streets. Dining in Darlinghurst is a gastronomic adventure. Food from all over the world is on the menu, from American ribs to tapas, sushi to gelato and every ethnicity in between.
