The room we got given had a spectacular view and sufficient amenities. Everything was clean and tidy for our check-in, however there weren't bin liners in the trash cans and the bath was a little small (but still usable). Overall a good stay.

We spent a night hear to celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary. We have stayed here once before it was a Rydges. The reason for choice was based on its location, closeness to Bridgeclimb and many options and food choices nearby. The staff were fabulous and very courteous. I highly recommend and will definitely return.

My wife and I stayed here for two nights (Friday/Saturday) with an excellent rate. Parking wasn't available onsite but we had a great rate of $30.00 per night at the Wilson Car Park about 200m walk down George Street. because of changed traffic conditions, which are here ti stay I believe, accessing the Hotel by care is not as simple as it once was. Best to walk with your luggage to the car park on check-out. Our room was available on check-in shortly after 1 pm, but the male receptionist must have attended the Basil Fawlty school of hospitality, as while not quite up to Basil's standards he was less than enthusiastic attending to us with minimal information provided, and if you didn't ask, the bare minimum only was provided. Our room (618) featured a very very comfortable King size bed. Shower pressure was adequate (must be in water-saver mode) and the shower was in a bath, which was not an issue. Toiletries, face washes, towels etc were all fine. There was a decent sized fridge with a kettle and tea/coffee making facilities, which weren't replenished for our second day. The A/C was quite adequate. The room was a very comfortable size, with good hanging space and shelving etc. Check-out with short term bag storage was a far more positive and attentive experience than was our arrival. The hotel is really well situated for a tour of the Rock, Sydney Opera House, Circular Quay ferries etc with plenty of dining options close at hand. Sunday morning has markets operating, but with Covid-19 restrictions, there were about 50% less stall holders than usual. Friday and Saturday nights can be very boisterous in The Rocks area with heaps of drinking and young people descending on the area, but if one chooses where and when they go then there should be no issue. We are both in our 70s and were out and about both evenings with no issue. I would recommend the Rydges Sydney Harbour Hotel as a convenient place to stay given the above riders. We have stayed here on previous occasions, with some stays being more enjoyable than others.

This is Sydney’s hidden gem. You can walk everywhere, see the Bridge and the Opera House from the roof top pool, and not break the bank. Only a limited breakfast available, but great choices and the 7 of us very happy with our pick.

Room Tip: Lvl 8 is where the pool is accessed from, so heavier foot traffic
