We don't mind sharing a bathroom and hardly ever meet another guest there. Its usually right outside our bedroom door. The bedrooms are small but adequate and most importantly beds comfortable . The free cooked brekkie is also small but complements juice cereal fruit and coffee adequately. You only get that and free wifi if booked on their website.

Close to Museum train stop, two train stops to the harbour, The Rocks and Opera. Basic breakfast. Closet-kitchenette with microwave. Curtains don't provide darkness properly. Wi-fi only works in public areas.

Expensive as most places are in the CBD, however you get good value- service and rooms are very good and the location is excellent. If the price is ok for you this is a great spot. Staff are helpful and listen to any concerns.

I found the shared room with dorm style bathroom for 3 very second class for the price asked. At the pprice paid, all rooms should have ensuites. Room was very tired looking and needs an overhaul. The sstaff & location make up ground in points.

Not the YWCA anymore but still good. A bit more expensive but central, friendly and clean. We had a good room and could see the sun rise Tea and coffee provided and laundrymat available. Breakfast adequate and good coffee on the corner outside.

Inform your guests beforehand if there is a celebration near the hotel, so they can be aware of the disruption it can cause. We would have stayed somewhere nearer the Circular Quays if we had known beforehand.

Thanks for your review. I'm sorry for any inconvenience caused with the celebrations. I'm assuming the celebration you were referring to was the Sydney Mardi Gras, We will be sure to inform our guests of this for the next time. Again sorry for the inconvenience caused.

Staying in Central Business District

Neighborhood Profile
Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.
