On a positive the room was exceptional for the price although upon asking to stay another night price almost doubled from what I paid trough Agoda . Keycard would not work for lift constantly , and upon asking for help was treated like it was my fault . Very unwelcoming and rude front desk person . Housekeeping were lovely .
My family and I checked into the Apx World Square this evening and to say we are disappointed is an extreme understatement. I pre-purchased parking but when we arrived I was informed that they couldn't reserve car spaces. We were asked to park at the loading dock, which was very unpleasant being next to the bins and then also asked to move over to allow another car to park us in?! While I understand the staff did her best to accommodate us, it's absolutely ridiculous to take guests money for a service that is not available. When we got up to the room, it smelt awful. The rooms are not acceptable. The walls and skirting boards are disgusting, covered in grime and dust. There's filth behind the bin splattered down the wall. One room smelt of stale cigarette smoke. My husband, son and I are all asthmatic and this made us all very uncomfortable. The staff offered to bring up what I assumed was an air purifier for our son's room however when my husband returned from collecting our luggage, he showed me the machine she'd bought up was not safe to run with people or animals in the room! It is clearly written on the machine! She also gave instructions to my 10 yr old son to turn it off in 10/15mins... I would hate to think what could have happened if it was left running while my asthmatic son was in there! The cots provided were broken and ready to collapse. I am completely shocked that it was even considered safe to use! And it was very inconvenient as we had very tired twins to deal with and we ended up setting up our cots from the car. NEXT when my husband got into the shower, a terrible high pitch noise started. No matter what he did the shower continued to make this noise! I can't express how upset I was at this point. Finally while using the other bathroom I noticed the downlight went out, flickered numerous times before turning back on. I do not think I could feel more unsafe. The ONLY reason we stayed is because it was so late and our FIVE children were tired from traveling.…
Completely dissatisfied with the room. There's enough negative reviews on here so I won't harp on but; - The bedsheets had brown stains on them - Mould and rot on the lampshade - Black scuff marks all over the bedroom & living room walls - Holes and stains in both sofas - Chips and scratches all over the coffee table. The type of hotel you'd find on an episode of Gordon Ramsay's "Hotel Hell" - a total failure of service.
Room and hall way stunk. *Bad customer service..*took money out of account day earlier when I asked to pay cash on arrival.. *rooms werent ready when we checked in at 330pm..*was told had great city views from balcony, only had views of other buildings windows looking into our apartment.*Had random noises beeping all night..*lift to car park wasn’t working had to access another building to use their lift. *limited car parks, very tight parking spaces and $50 a night.* Beds very hard, especially the ones that are two singles put together. *family of 5 *Definitely won’t be going here again
We booked the interconnected two-bedroom apartment, which was perfect for the 5 of us, lots of room, nice large beds, clean and comfortable. Easy check in - we were allowed too start parking early and leave the car a few hours after check in which was great. We were very happy with the accommodation, great location and will definitely book again. Staff were friendly and helpful.
