The accommodation is okay and the location is on walking distance to almost everything you want to see in Sydney. The staff is friendly and helpful. Only wifi is ridiculously expensive which to me is not really acceptable anymore in 2014/2015!

I had a lovely room with a little courtyard, the restaurant buffet breakfast was fantastic and i had dinner in the restaurant and had the biggest bowl of beautiful pasta. the staff were helpful and friendly and stored my bags for me so i could go shopping for the day before heading home. it is a great position central to... Where do I begin. Flight got in after 9. But check in was at 2pm. We had to pay $2 per bag to store it. The computer systems were down. So a huge line formed in the lobby. For all these people there were 3 chairs and no other area to sit. Check in took ages. Then up to the... More

We had a lovely stay of 7 nights in this hotel. Perfectly located near the centre and public transport. Rooms are quite and clean. But watch out people. If you want to use the internet you have to pay 10 dollar for 2 hour. You only can use this 2 hours in a row. So even if you only use... More

The hotel was good overall: clean, great distance (great access to Chinatown, free bus at the front all the way to opera house and the rocks, walking distance to darling harbour). The down side was that no tooth brush and tooth paste and very expensive price to pay for wifi which surprised me. Air-con worked fine for my room and... More

This rambling Art Deco hotel is well presented and represents great value for accommodation in downtown Sydney. It is close to Central Station and the bus stop is at the door. Paddy's Market and China Town are close by. The room was clean, spacious and comfortable and very quiet, but it should have a bench for suitcases. The bistro style... More

Nice hotel, central location with free CBD bus close by and central station within walking distance. You can walk to the main central shopping area, Paddy's Market (just around the corner), Darling Harbour from the hotel. Room clean, comfortable beds, friendly staff, great room service each day. I also liked the Art Deco look. Internet in the lobby was shocking,... More

I will be listing the pros and cons of the hotel so as to help you guys make an informed decision. PROS: - Great location. Just a short 5-min walk from Central station to the hotel and there's a bus stop located right outside with multiple buses that will take you to Circular Quay. - The room I stayed in... More

Good meal and met with old work friends, recommend for a lunch and a drink. If you are in Sydney drop in have a drink and enjoy a good meal at a very competitive price. The chicken schnitzel is fresh and a good size for a Humfrey person or if you want value for money.

Central Station just up the road, Paddy's markets just out the back and a short walk to China Town and Darling Harbour. Brilliant location and a cheerful, comfortable place to stay. My second time here. I will be back.

Staying in Chinatown

Neighborhood Profile
Chinatown
Tiger-flanked archways on Dixon Street mark the entrance to the “little Asia” of Sydney. A walk through Chinatown is a feast for the senses where aromas, tastes, sounds and visions of dancing tigers transport you to a different world. Chinatown visitors can expect a melting pot of Asian food at the neighborhood's specialty delis and groceries. From yum cha to handmade noodles, BBQ ducks hanging in the window to Asian sweets and bakeries, there is something for all tastes. Paddy’s Markets is the largest flea market in Sydney where you can find souvenirs, clothing, gifts and fruit and vegetables at unbeatable prices. At night, Chinatown comes alive with entertainment including theater, nightclubs and bars that are open until the early morning.
