My family and I stayed at this hotel while on a short trip to Canberra. Few good points; nice and cheap for a family of four and the location. Few negative points; no free wifi which for a young family with kids is not ideal, and the bedding situation was not to our liking. There were 3 single beds, including... More

I ended up booking a couple of nights at the Red Cedars in Watson after struggling to find anywhere in Canberra that was available at a reasonable rate (the combination of parliament sitting, the balloon festival and a WTA Tennis tournament meant that pickings were slim) but I shouldn't have worried as the Red Cedars was an excellent choice. The... More

The Red Cedars Motel is located in Watson which is one of the first suburbs you encounter when driving from Sydney. It is not far from the main highway but far away enough to be quiet and peaceful. We had a family room which was comfortable and spacious with a small kitchenette so we could make some of our own... More

Extremely good price for motel accommodation in Canberra, just above average motel, very clean and tidy. Cody, receptionist very courteous and helpful. Downstairs balcony extremely dirty with cigarette ash and butts.

Quick stop over on our way home. The room meet all our needs. The motel was Easy to find. I liked the beds as they were firm. The young man at reception was very helpful. We were at the top of the stairs and did find it a bit noisy with foot traffic. We visited the market the next morning... More

Red Cedars is what I would call an 'old-school' type of motel - the kind of motel that you went to on a motoring holiday with mum and dad some years ago. We (husband, self and daughter) stayed for three nights in one of the more recently renovated rooms with two double beds on the ground floor. Avoid the upper... More

This was our fourth visit & longest stay to date - three nights. Great location to find & to use as a base, with a bus to & from the city running past the door, and Dickson shops not far away. Needs a tidy up around the grounds, but units very comfortable.

Due to parliament sitting we needed to book out of town. This property was so close to town only 15mins from Canberra Centre. Clean and comfortable having a microwave toaster and kettle, mixed crockery but all clean and no chips or cracks. Shower spacious and the shower gel, shampoo and conditioner was good quality.

Stayed a night in this motel with family of 2 kids here. Located at the greenery area and very quiet from the sounds of the city. Price quoted is reasonable but complete with all your needs and helpful staff too.
