Staff, on the couple of occasions we used them were very co. Operative. This was our 2nd visit and we will go back again. If I had one small complaint it is the lack of cooking utensils to cook anything but basic.Australia bobjay

Parklands hotel/apartments is one of Canberra's older accommodations, but we found it comfortable, clean, and easy to find. We stayed for a week in a 3-bed room, and found the extra bed quite useful for sorting our belongings. Although the carpet and some fittings were a bit tired, the amenities (including a microwave oven) were quite adequate. If we opted...

It all started with the booking. I booked one night through Expedia and then went to book another night but rang the hotel first to ensure we could stay in the same room. No problem! They would wait for booking to come through and book me in. Oh dear! This did not happen. We spent approx 1 hr trying to...

HI Catherine, Thank you for your feedback. Prior to reading this I was made aware of the issues you faced with your reservation and your stay. In the first instance I would like to sincerely and unreservedly apologise for the inconvenience and distress this caused you. The issues highlighted a clear gap in our staff training that I have since...

As a family with a young child we were shocked at the hotel's smoking policy. Although many no smoking signs were located all throughout the courtyard, we were unable to open our door without smoke wofting into our room. We were relocated into another room, however the staff and management were highly unprofessional with their dealings with our complaint. We...

Thank you for your feedback. As you will be aware Paklands Hotel is non-smoking in all rooms. One way to ensure people follow those rules is by providing a designated undercover outdoor smoking area that meets the ACT Government guidelines. At Parklands this is on the upper balcony at the rear of the building (all the lower courtyard is non-smoking)....

Booked room going on the website, which was a queen size apartment, we were given a queen suite, that does not include what the apartment was advertised as. Management resistant to our complaint until proven to them, after that refunded us and we found accommodation much better less per night , and closer to Canberra.

The Parklands is a little dated but having said that the room was clean and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The fan in the bathroom made a lot of noise. Overall good value for money and a good place to stay for a short trip to Canberra. Family stay in Canberra lots to see and do.

We stayed for two nights in a double room, which had kitchen and laundry. The location is good you can walk to the local shops which have cafes and grocery stores. the rooms are OK, they need a bit of a freshen up but are clean and functional. We decided to skip the room service however I took the towels...

We had a spa suit, it was a bit disappointing that the bed was a zip together (uncomfortable to sleep on). Otherwise the room was comfortable. Could do with a bit of an update. Loved the "Green Option".

The staff were very helpful and we found our stay very nice. It's close to everything. We needed more room and thought we had booked a room with a kitchen and washing machine so they upgraded us for free for the inconvenience. I will definitely stay here again. The furniture is a bit tired but other than that we found...

Stayed here as a stopover for one night, on previous visits to Canberra we found it difficult to get around however we found this place with no trouble. Room was spacious and clean. Decor was lovely. It had opening windows which is a must for me, and the cool Canberra breeze was perfect after a hot day travelling. Good extractor...
