The motel was clean and welcoming. the staff were very helpful and always had a smile on their face. You had to pay for of street parking if you wanted it but there was not much there so you had to take pot luck. If you missed out, you pay to park on the street. The Restaurant service and food... An old style hotel that is comfortable and presents very clean and crisp but at the same time provides a sense of homeliness with the fire place and leather seats. Friendly and engaging staff that attend to our every request. The history lessons received through the photographs and fact sheets scattered throughout the hotel provide a good sense of nostalgia.

the location is great if you want to walk to the Galleries, Library and other public buildings to see exhiibitions. Free car parking is great. The staff are very nice and the rooms quite recently refurbished and quiet for sleeping

Simply a very nice comfortable place to stay when away from home. It's nice to stay somewhere it's not your ordinary shaped, low ceiling hotel room that looks like every other hotel you stay in. And the courtyard facing the sun is simply fabulous.

I was very disappointed with the above room problem, being asked to upgrade and then having it taken away via an email, I think this could have been handled much better as I was wwilling to pay the extra for both rooms.

We stayed for 2 nights in Nov through the Luxury Escapes package. The hotel is nice enough and has been recently refurbished. The reception is dark and manned by very unfriendly staff. My niece had parking instructions barked at her when we arrived which set the tone for our interaction with the front of house staff. The room was very... More

We were lucky to secure the last room in the hotel on a last minute booking. The hotel fascade and the rooms have been beautifully restored and renovated recently, with a perfect mix of heritage and modernism. Rooms are spacious with comfortable beds. The bathrooms were clean and modern. We had dinner in the hotel bistro and the food was... More

Beautiful old historic hotel with lovely ambience and newly furnished rooms. We enjoyed our first overnight stay a few months back, so decided to stay again for a two night stay over the weekend. Both stays were booked directly via the hotel. Same category room both times, but what a disappointing difference in room allocation! First stay had a beautiful... More
