Didn't come with high expectation, just want to have a peaceful and clean place to stay. I wam glad I had chosen Hotel Kurrajong. We loved the look of this "historical building" yet the interior is mixed of classic and modern. We loved our room, although it was a bit less space, but enough for resting on king size bed....

I didn't stay at the hotel like my friends as I read the reviews about lack of parking. However I did enjoy meeting at six on a Friday night for drinks- felt like a friend's home- I checked out the rooms which are modern - problem in the bathroom- the shelf sloped downwards & the toiletries ended up on the...

Nicely old-fashioned, but the breakfasts are less varied than expected, and the service there is problematic. In general, staff efficiency and attitudes are very variable. For example, the person who handled our check-in verged on outright rudeness, but the lady who checked us out could not have been better. Car parking is a problem Past experience has told us that the...

The staff were professional, courteous, and very helpful, from booking taxis to recommending restaurants. Beautiful original Art Deco foyer and corridors lead to fully refurbished contemporary rooms with all the modern conveniences, including a large comfortable bed; desk with USB plugs; wardrobe with the safe, iron, and ironing board; a sideboard with the fridge and coffee / tea making facilities;...

Parking was scary- i am disabled- managed to get a park but went out for dinner and lost the spot- having to...

Room was good had all necessary features bed large and comfortable. Evening meal quite well presented and cooked complimentary wine for NRMA membership a nice touch. Breakfast a disappointment coffee and toast seems expensive full breakfast did not offer a big selection. Parking a problem if you are not early.

We stopped in for a quick one night stay. Checked in at 9pm and were greeted by the lovely staff. The room was lovely and met all our expectations for $167 per night. The breakfast buffet was beautifully presented, hot and seasoned perfectly. If you're looking for something a little traditional in your stay, Hotel Kurrajong is perfect !

The Hotel Kurrajong was built in the 1920's and was recently fully refurbished. The decor is art deco and has a nice, historic feel, being the residence of Ben Chifley while he was the Australian Prime Minister. We stayed in a family room, which was basically two rooms with a connecting door (each with it's own facilities). The rooms very...

Ms FFT (fave fellow traveller) had booked this and had thought we may need a car while in Canberra. Canberra can seem like a car-based city, based on our previous travels there, where we stayed in the city centre. Hotel Kurrajong has a place in Australian political history, being home to a couple of prime ministers of Australia while Parliament...

The Kurrajong is a classic hotel in Canberra. You can feel like being in one of those British clubs that use to appear in the 50s and 60s movies from the colonies. The building is very well maintained, but time does not forgive anyone. Is a quite place to stay and if you are there in a warm day, you...
