Just had an all around very sketchy experience with this hostel. But first the good; Awesome location (not really only 10 minutes from Chichen Itza) This hostel owner is definitely a pioneer. It would be awesome to have a hostel or two in the area that he is building. It would make Chichen Itza way more accessible to people not...

When we arrived it seemed as if he offered us a meal on the house, only to charge us $150 pesos for the meal (my most expensive meal in Mexico). He knows he can vastly overcharge you because you are many miles away from the nearest restaurant, also citing the water we drank. This is the only hostel I have...

The Ecohotel is a nice place to relax but a bit difficult to find and 15 km away from Piste. There is no restaurant in Yokdzonot so you need to eat in the ecohotel if you are travelling without a car. The food there is quiet good. We slept in one of the Mayan houses which was a nice expierience....

We had a great time here, just stayed one night but were able to upgrade from tent to Mayan palapa as we were the only people. The room and kitchen were exceptionally clean. The kitchen is fully equipped and there is also a fridge, the outside shower is hot an its fun showering with no roof! Jorge was really friendly...

Very small and quiet hotel with a maximum of 13 people staying there (we had a group of 5) while we were there. Great place if you want to detox from other tourists. No wifi and only a few small shops close by (limited variety and trade hours) so you have to make sure you bring food with you for...

Very close drive or bus ride to Chichen Itza and walking distance to a beautiful Cenote for swimming. I enjoyed the small town authentic feel. The lodge is tucked away with beautiful landscaping and outdoor shower. Small cabanas or camping. The guy who takes care of the place is kind and helpful. There is a restaurant at the cenote and...

This is a beautiful place to stay. Glamour camping, with the sounds of the crickets all around you at night. Beautiful bathrooms & showers. It is NOT, however, within walking distance to Chichen Itza. It's about a 10-15 min bus ride away.

We booked a tent for 3 nights thinking this will be great its so close to the ruins we can take our time and relax..NO the information provided online is so wrong. Maybe they provided all the amenities years ago but not today. Nice place and owner is nice but too remote. So it's 18km from the town Piste. You...

My boyfriend and I have both traveled a lot in central and South America staying hostels. I studied anthropology in college and one of my professors said that I just had to see the ruins at Ekbalam on the way to Chichen Itza. From Playa Del Carmen we took a bus to Valladolid and then spent time trying to find...

Don't give these people your credit card number. They lie saying they are in Chichen Itza 10 minutes walk from the ruins... It is in another town,20 kilometers away, no taxis, public transportation every 2 1/2 hrs... Swimming pool is a plastic pool. The place was locked u , empty, nobody there, not safe for women traveling alone. Pretty dis...
