It's always a pleasure to stay in the WHI. I stay there 2-3 times a year on a business trip I make to Leicester and will never change that. Good restaurant, friendly staff, friendly locals and a very comfortable room and bed, fabulous breakfast.

Recently built rooms, high spec, provide hairdryer, toiletries, and emergency toothbrush! Very comfortable double beds. Only downside is lack of natural light due to small netted window. Restaurant and bar staff were lovely and welcoming, excellent food. Good spot for a weekend walking.

Very lovely meal and fine wines lovely service and friendly staff, sat in the bar area which was very comfortable, would highly recommend the steak was cooked just right. The bar manager was able to help with selecting the wine and was a very good choice, highly recommended

We spent one night in Room 1 last Friday evening. The accommodation is in an adjacent stable type single storey block, attached to the pub. We were concerned that there would be noise at closing time, as the rooms are adjacent to the car park, but we did not hear anything and all was peaceful. The room was tastefully decorated... More

Visiting on work, the soft glow from the windows of this perfect country pub makes you feel as though you're coming home (a rare feeling for a frequent business traveller). I really thought this pub was excellent value for money with friendly staff, good food and good beer. Brilliant.

Twenty of us pre booked Sunday lunch from a specially prepared menu and we were not disappointed...all our meals were of excellent quality, served hot and without fuss. Lucinda and her team took good care of us and we had a wonderful time. Thank you!

Excellent food. Beers are kept perfectly. Wide variety of both wines and spirits. Bedrooms are very very comfortable. Large car park. Off the beaten track little hard to find but well worth the journey when you arrive.

Stayed for one night having been at a conference all day. Arrived at 8.00 pm Friday evening to a warm welcome and shown to the room which was very comfortably furnished and very well appointed. Whoever designed the rooms and manages them have thought of everything, the attention to detail would put many major hotel chains to shame. Dinner was... More

Located in a quiet village, the bedrooms are in a cottage style annex just a few steps from the dining room, bar and car park. The rooms are comfortable and well equipped, good sheets, towels and toiletries etc. All the staff were very friendly and attentive and despite turning up just after the end of the published lunch time, we...
