We arrived to find a beautifully lit and decorated magical country mansion. Reception was warm and the receptionist was friendly and welcoming. Our room was spacious and well-appointed with a lovely array of biscuits and tea/coffee making facilities. Having dined by the log fire on delicious dinners- the Steak and Portobello mushroom pie was to die for!!- we retired for...

Six of us (including two children) came here for Sunday lunch after a lovely walk in the adjacent Arboretum. Five of us had the carvery and one the salmon from the a la cartel menu. All meals were delicious. All the hotel staff in reception and the dining room went out of the way to be helpful. We can definitely...

On arriving here Saturday afternoon ready for a Christmas party night we were excited as it looked so lovely as you drove up to it. Reception check in was smooth and easy and the receptionist was extremely friendly and helpful. We were directed to our room across two courtyards in the freezing cold... the 2nd courtyard being where our room...

Enjoyed Sunday lunch at this historic hotel. The carvery was plentiful and very tasty although it could have been slightly hotter. The dessert of bread and butter pudding was delicious. Archie served us in the restaurant and he was attentive and efficient. He also gave us an overview of the hotels history and brought us some literature to read. After...

My Husband & I wanted to thank Lynford Hall Hotel for making our Wedding Day special. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel welcome & comfortable. We elected to make & set up our own wedding decorations but staff were on hand & willing to assist where required, which was great. The night before the wedding, the...

Went for a special lunch in the bar of this hotel and while the venue and service were very good and in fact one of the meals was also good the other meal (pot roast pheasant) was terrible. It was dried out like it had been cooked one or more times before it arrived at our table. It is a...

Having read many of the reviews on this historic Hotel I had some reservations about booking for a room for a friends wedding, these are our opinions; A comfortable drive of 1 h 50mins from our Essex home, the impressive drive way(even in November) gives way to a very secluded and imposing Lynford Hall, the grounds are vast. Reception: Friendly...
