The hotel is dated but adequate. The floor boards creak when walking around the upper floor, but not too annoyingly. It was quite cold outside when we were there, but nice and cosy throughout the hotel. The hotel was under new management at the time and were a little tired from the previous touring groups stay. The staff were very... More

Stopped here with the Trafalgar tour. The views are spectacular. the rooms are quaint. there are about 20 rooms. the use keys. Our room was #2 on the first floor. Where to start - In the shower there is nowhere to put any soap/shampoo; the plug for the hairdryer is in the room no where near a mirror; a rose... More

We stayed at this hotel for one night in early September as part of a Trafalgar tour. Our tour guide had told us that this place is in the middle of nowhere, and boy, was he right! The location and isolation only adds to the charm of the place. Our room was on the second floor and offered views of... More

I was traveling on a tour and we had one night here. The accommodations were a real treat. The staff were all so pleasant. The food was great and we woke up to a beautiful mist layer. The morning was gorgeous after seeing a most beautiful sunset the night before. An overall lovely experience!

This hotel is simple and yet divine. The rooms were comfortable, clean and full of Scottish charm and hospitality. I could have sat and looked out of the window for hours. The view was to die for. We stayed for two nights with a recent Trafalgar tour and this hotel was a highlight for me. The staff are welcoming, courteous,... More

Stayed here with a Trafalgar group for two nights and although the room and amenities weren't luxurious, I had a great time. The room had all that you needed - clean sheets, comfortable bed, kettle, tea and coffee, bathroom had heated towel rail and large shower stall. The only minus was weak water pressure in the shower and one power... More

I loved everything of this place. The surrounding, the hotel, the services. The staff were so helpful. The room and bed was great. The feeling when I reached the hotel is so peaceful. The fields with sheep and lambs surrounding the area around the hotel. It is so peaceful.
