We really enjoyed our weekend here as the staff as very friendly and helpful. The rooms are spacious and very comfy and the overall property has plenty of soul which is so important for a beach side resort. The two tweaks needed are a bit more staff particularly for the beach restaurant which would help greatly. The second is a little broader menu and quality of food as it does become a struggle by the second day. We will be back to see if the tweaks are put into the plan.
Found this place is only 2 hours driving from Saigon and we were so impressed by the boutique concept of a traditional Vietnamese village with private white sand beach. The landscape is amazing with many trees, we enjoy walking around under the shades. There are also many options for room categories and we stayed in a Beach front bungalow, just few steps to the sea. 2 pool options for guest: fresh water swimming pool and salt water swimming pool which is rear to see in this area. Our favorite place is the beach Nautical Bar where we have cold beer and light meal. All staff is so friendly and helpful. We had a very enjoyable stay here and can’t wait to come back next time. We came in weekdays so it seemed very quiet here; we totally liked this tranquil atmosphere. Tips: there is nothing much around so we just stay at the resort but they have everything so it was not a big deal. Bring your own insect repellent even though resort prepares a lot of things for you like mosquito net, spray for anti-mosquitoes and oil to apply on skin but we are in a tropical country and now is the rainy season so we understand about the insects.…
We stayed here 3 nights at the end of August. We have a 4 years old kid Plus: quite since the rooms are duplexes. Minus: 1. Bathrooms are outdoor style with very outdated bathtub which makes it verg dangerus and not usable. It also lets lots of mousquitos in at night when we get out for bathroom. 2. Fresh water pool is quite small and the slide is extremely dangerous for kids, even teenagers. 3. Salt water pool is very big and nice but not usable since there is no shade. 4. The food is ok and over priced which is understandable since there was nothing is near. 5. All facilities need an extreme overhauled. It cant blame on "antique Vietnamese countryside look" for its lack of improvements. Overall, if you only need a quite place to think, this is the palce. Other that, there are better resorts in this area.…
The bungalows are nice and the service is good, but there is a serious environmental issue that the management is ignoring: at every low tide there is a bad, foul wastewater smell coming from the beach. You follow that smell and will quickly find the reason: untreated wastewater is seeping into the sea, producing disgusting foam and the aforementioned bad odour. There is obviously an underground pipe discharging untreated wastewater directly into sea. Since there are no neighbours that could be responsible for that environmental disaster, only the Ho Tram Beach Boutique Hotel is to blame. When the "Guest Relations Manager" was informed she quickly denied everything, mentioning a wastewater treatment plant that she said is operational. However, she refused to show me that plant. This is a shame. The last thing guests want is to swim in their own wastewater. And the ignorance and unfriendly reaction of the staff when being informed about that problem does not create any confidence in this hotel either. BTW: the ocean is very dirty anyway, due to the proximity of a huge industrial port in Vung Tau.…
I have been staying to this hotel around 20 times during the last 10 years, and I have seen the quality dropping over the years. Obviously a management issue. During the covid, they didn't accept people based on their previous stay if at risk in Danang region and cancel the booking with refund. After weeks, they moved the booking to another date without telling me, in the week during school days. Then, then cancel again and I lost 4 nights with them. No refund, even if my booking was with expedia and expedia was willing to help. Before, it was the only nice option nearby HCMC for a weekend, luckily now, we have plenty of other option around Ho Tram, Long Hai, Vung Tau, and I will never use this hotel anymore. Very disappointing.
