We spent 3 nights in this clean and nice bungalows directly at the long and empty beach, bungalow was equipped with small nice details, fan and mosquito net. Electricity availabl all day long (whitch is not the case everywhere in senegal). Max, the owner was really caring and a great cook with italian flavour. In addition, the bar at teh... More

Good location, clean and comfortable rooms. The food is fantastic! But the number one reason I liked the place was the extremely welcoming and helpful host: Max. He is really interested in your visiting experience. I would definitely go back.

a relaxing remote place right at the beach, no noise, no cars, no paved road and especially VERY VERY nice food prepared by Gabriella! If you just pass by on your trip, you must certainly stop for lunch.

I have recently been at the tulipe noire for a late afternoon drink and dinner with some friends, we were in the surrounding area and decided to come here after reading a good review for the restaurant on our guidebook for senegal, the reality was even better than what we expected. The place is beautifully thought and built, it is... More

It's a small hotel located on the beach. What is really special it's the very warm hospitality of Max and Gaby, which is a mix of Senegalese teranga and Italian good food from Piedmont. A perfect place where to spend a few relaxing days. Really recommended!!!

La Tulipe Noire (The Black Tulip) is a rare find, just as is the flower for which it is named. On the recommendation of other "Peace Corps" volunteers (PCV), we stayed here with our daughter, a PCV serving in a different region of the country. It was an ideal setting for our rendezvous... beautiful, relaxing with a unique blend of... More

La Tulipe Noire (The Black Tulip) is one of the most amazing places we've ever visited. We were treated like kings from the moment we arrived, tired and dusty from a long day of travel. Max and Gabriella (I hope I got their names right) made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived until we left a few days... More
