The New Year Party 2022 was very good, good food, excellent wines and the orchestra (2 guys) kept the good spirit the whole evening, even guest were from kids to people in their 70'ies. Everybody had a good time. We did not sleep over, the place was fully booked, but we stayed close and the Boss drove us home late in the night, good service.

This is really a "hidden gem" on the beautiful Danish island of Langeland. Nestled in the south-eastern part of the island it exudes the splendor and history which the island so richly offers it's visitors. The new owner has really spared no expense and made no compromise in the impressive restauration of this exquisite manor. It has excellent overnight accommodations, a superb restaurant and it even has it's own world class brewery with own labels and more. I could not more highly recommend this place!

If you would like to think you back 300 Years, and in the same time have the most extraordinary delicate Nordic Food, you should try a stay on Herregarden Broloekke. But with a place a very long distance from the big cities, not too many have the pleasure. Unfortunately, because they will never forget when the Manor, the surroundings and the food.

I rarely complain... But as our day was ruined I can't keep quiet!
We had booked a table for brunch/lunch as a special treat for a friends birthday.
We arrived and the table wasn't ready as there had been a wedding the day before. All the staff were running around in chaos, shouting and arguing. It was not OK.
Then the food... A horrible Ceasar salad, a tin of salmon, dry bread, cheap cooked meat from a packet. And it was very expensive for a tin of fish dumped on a plate.
It is a lovely place but we won't bother again.

My wife and I have become official envoys of the manor house Broløkke. This is of course an honorary title that the current owner of the manor Nils bestows on all of his guests. But it still gives you an idea of what this place is all about: making you feel a bit like a count in the good old days.

The manor Broløkke sits at the southern point of Langeland. A relatively derelict spot in Denmark. But Nils has made it his ambition to change (some of) that.

Over the last 10 or so years he has restored the house from ruin to a very beautiful, historical and personal take on life in the 1800 hundreds.

This involves restoring the beautiful painted walls to perfection, installing the house with an enormous amount of classical furniture, art and photographies. Not to mention the 15 or so stuffed out animals that the owner him self has shot (The polar bear and the monkey NOT included...).

You really get a sense of history living in the house - but still you feel Nils so many places. This is not just a living museum. It is a mans ambition and life. This is what makes this Manor House stand out from all the other castles and Manor Houses that you can visit and stay at in Denmark.

As you can read in a lot of other reviews the food is impeccable. Simple but beautiful. In season and “no bullshit”. They try to use local produce but I would have loved if it was even more in focus!!!

Wine pairing is good and the price is very fair.

The interesting thing about dinner is the fact that everybody meets up at 18.15 on the dot in the red livingroom. Here you get bubbles (nothing special but ok), a presentation of the dinner and wines and a charming tale of the house from Nils. This is when he gives you the honorary title of “envoy of Broløkke”. After the welcome everybody shouts out three horray for a great stay. Very charming idea and it gives the visitors a sense of belonging and togetherness. Cool!

We stayed in the main building in a beautiful room with bath and toilet at a relatively low upgrade price. I would recommend this to anybody! It just gives you that extra feeling of the place.

I only have positive things to say about this place. Please go, enjoy yourself and say “hi” to the owner from me 😀.

what a beauty spot on Langeland, and what a nice staff. very positive nice.
Large room and large bathroom. Wifi wasnt great and no TV in the room. But there was a very large living room with view over the fields, and a tv if you cant live without.
You can also see dark sky, all the stars and the milky way. Just go to the top of the small "hill" behind the main building.
Food was also very nice and if your lucky you will run into the owner, a very nice mann with lots of stories about the place and the wild life around.
We´ll be back sometime in the future...perhaps a longer stay.

This old mansion is absolutely perfect for a holiday for 2 ! The building is carefully renovated and has charming details in each room. The staff welcomes You like You are an old friend, and the meals are wonderful. Be sure to book in advance and oick a room in the mainbuilding with it´s own bathroom (some have shared bathroom because of restrictions when restoring the old buildings). They don´t have TV´s, but WIFI is available. Also a perfect base for many trips around the island, Langeland.

We were shocked to find that the whole place was a building site. It has just reopened but the refurbishment is nowhere near complete. We drove along a field to enter the back of the courtyard past a huge lorry and though a large cloud of dust. The nice receptionist/waitress did her best. Our bedroom had only a very thin net curtain so we were awake at 0430 when the sun came up. The builders outside started work at 0700. Breakfast was OK, but we didn't expect to be sharing the breakfast room with a large group of builders. The WiFi was very limited and only seemed to work in a small area around reception. Our check-out experience was truly appalling, with a disgracefully rude gentleman. The place shouldn't be open yet. We paid 2,400 DKK = £300 for this awful experience.

Anyone interested in experiencing life at a Danish manor should stay at Broløkke. The decorations and interiors are beautiful and many original paintings and structures exist in these historically protected buildings. The cuisine is wonderful and originates in local produces and herbs. The host, Niels, takes care of everyone and can recommend many nice places to visit at Langeland. Langeland is worth visiting for it's beautiful nature and historical villages and staying at Broløkke made the whole trip a really great experience.

Herregården Broløkke is a fantastic place to stay and to enjoy a wonderful atmosphere and some tasty food.
The old buildings have been restored, and now it is possible to book a room there - either in the main building or in other buildings also belonging to the mansion..
Behind it all is Nils Palmquist, who now owns this fantastic place.
We were there for 2 days and stayed in the main building in the room "Grevinden" (all rooms are different). Our room was in fact 2 big rooms and a huge bathroom, all in old style. Really nice. And we were received by Nils at our arrival and we had a very warm welcome.
We had dinner twice. The Chef is Frank and his food is inspiring and tasty, with local rawmaterials. The 4 dishes we had both nights were so good. And the wines joining the food had been selected by Nils. Simply fantastic.
We felt being home here, and Nils told the interesting story about the place.
We will be back - and here is a good advice: Go there and try it. It is top of the top.
