The place is quiet in nature, close to beautiful lakes and endless forests in a nature park, it is a good starting points for hikes in the wilderness. The food is also delicious and diverse. The hotel is easily reached by public transportation from Tallinn.

Historically a soviet-era sports resort, but now mostly renovated. I just love these old sports bases in natural surroundings that are still keeping a low-end price and offering a cheap stay for weekend biking and skiing trips. Don't expect anything fancy - it's a budget hostel. Rooms are basic but clean and nice. Nature in the Aegviidu area is amazing.

Stayed at the hostel for one night. The room was on the second floor, right next to the staircase door, which was a bit annoyng because people were moving around all the time. Also the floors are creacky. The sound isolation it the rooms is not the best, so I would recommend using earpuds to sleep better. The room itself... More

There is no isolation in the rooms, so all the noise from the corridor can be heard. Surroundings are peaceful in a beautiful forest surroundings. Breakfast was good. The place is reachable by train from Tallinn.

We have stayed for a weekend in a villa-type building ("Pääsu villa") near the lake with 7-month-old baby. The room ("Õunaõie tuba") had all amenities needed (including baby cot with bed linen) and you can leave a stroller downstairs. The room is well-equipped (TV, hair dryer, small refrigerator, coffee and tea facilities), but no A/C, and you can only open... More

You can stay in the 4-floor hostel (a large building), smaller 3-floor villa-type place (some windows are overlooking the lake) and also small houses/cabins designed to fit several families further away from the lake. We stayed in the latter, our unit had its own toilet/shower, porch area, two small beds and a bed under the ceiling (you have to climb... More

Beautiful place for family weekend. "It's oh so quiet... tssss...tsss...". Lake with small beach, clean forest, playgrounds, cotteges in style of the beginning of the 20th century, soviet period and just baltic style. Excellent restaurant with open space. Places for a barbecue. You can sit with a beer glass in an arbor on the bank of the lake or go... More
