El Salto is fantastic. The views are outstanding, the staff incredibly friendly (thanks to Adrian for all the help) and the rooms lovely. We loved the hillside location and the various activies nearby. The free breakfast is a particular highlight. And dinner is great too. Highly recommended.

I spent 3 nights there, the place is rustic and i loved it. I think anyway the view, can distract you to any imperfection you can find. It is and Ecolodge so they kept it pretty organic. The owner and the wife cooked me and my partner a very nice dinner and i would suggest to try.

We've had a great time staying at El Salto Ecolodge. After traveling a long way we couldn't find it in the first place. We called Christophe (the owner) and he helped us giving us directions. When we we're still lost (it was dark and hard to recognize) he came to pick us up just were we're stranded. They made us... More

We travelled as a group of five, myself and my 3 adult children and one of their friends. My daughter found this place and we decided to start our vacation here. What a wonderful surprise El Salto was. Beautiful views, gracious hosts, comfortable accommodations and wonderful food. It was like staying with family. Christophe and his family were so hospitable... More

We booked El Salto as we wanted something off the beaten path and that is exactly what we found. One of the most unique places we stayed at in Costa Rica with the most amazing views. Christophe was a fabulous host and we enjoyed some really good food at his place. I loved the family style dining. I would not... More

Our family had a fabulous time at El Salto. Christophe was so hospitable, starting with cutting aloe leaves to alleviate our girls' sunburn. The view over the valley is spectacular with the coffee plantations and the sound of the waterfall right outside our door. Breakfasts were great with French Toast and fresh fruits. It felt more like a B&B rather... More

We last minute booked El Salto Eco Lodge as we were traveling across the country. Outside of the spectacular views; Christophe was more than accommodating; and had great advice for hidden gems in the country that we took full advantage of. The lodge is cozy and comfortable and the coffee was the best I had while in the country. Christophes'... More

We arrived at El Salto in very un fortunate circumstances, after being robbed from our bags including passport. Christoph, the owner, was most amazing from the first second - he gave us dinner, drinks, breakfast and a night at the inn all for free! Plus he took us the next day to the police where he stayed with us to... More

I went to El Salto to relax and recover on a medical tourism trip. It was the perfect spot with good food and the sound of the waterfall in the background, The view is also fantastic and tranquil. Get a relaxation massage from Natalia while you are there
