During our 10 days visit to costa rica we visited so many restaurants but this restaurant was the best among all!

We only eat vegetarian and sea food while traveling and most of the restaurants won't have enough options for you. However this hotel was an exception. It has lot of good items to choose from and they are all delicious. So if you are in this area then definitely visit this restaurant.

Also they have a rooms right below the restaurants for accommodation. I would recommend restaurant 4 star and room accommodation 2.5 star (due to challenges we faced with parking, hot water, laundry services.)

We absolutely loved our stay here. The rooms was very comfortable and incredibly clean. The location and the grounds are beautiful with amazing plant life and hummingbirds too numerous to count. The restaurant was amazing, every meal we ate was delicious and the steak was perfectly cooked. Even arriving after closing hour check in was a breeze and everyone was incredibly accommodating. I would highly recommend staying here if you are going to Poas or doing anything in the area. The views from the mountain down to the valley are a perfect way to begin or end any stay that takes you through San Jose.

Spacious, neat and clean wood-paneled room with electric heater, coffee machine and lots of extra blankets. Hot water in the shower. This was all very practical because the hotel is more than 2000 meters above sea level and it was very cool outside at night (13-14° C). Good breakfast from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m., friendly staff, enough parking spaces, functional WiFi.
Good location to the La Paz waterfall (nice and free on the road) and Poás volcano (best to book tickets online in advance, that saves time). We saw both sights before breakfast and then managed to visit the Irazú volcano on the same day. The location to San José International Airport is also good.
There is one disadvantage, however: the reception is only open until 10 p.m. and most employees cannot wait any longer for your arrival because they are dependent on the last bus. The hotel could simply leave the room open for late arrivals and communicate the room number via WhatsApp, but they don't want to do that. This could be a problem if your evening flight to San José is delayed or - as in our case - the queue at the car rental company takes forever. After a race down the dark mountain road to the hotel, we managed to pick up the room key five minutes before closing time. The really annoying thing was: I wanted to avoid this situation and had communicated intensively with the accommodation in advance via WhatsApp. A Néstor Junior had promised me that he would wait for us until 11 p.m. But when the long wait at the car rental company came and I wrote to reception, instead of Néstor Jr. there was a Mario who didn't want to know anything about our agreement and could only wait until 10 p.m. Fortunately, everything went well. Mario was nice, he managed to accompany us to our room and explain how to use the electric heater, which later proved useful.

We don’t normally book ahead for places but with two young children we decided to do it on this trip. We wanted to visit Poas on the first couple of days in Costa Rica so headed straight here from the airport, arriving around midnight, the night guard greeted us and showed us to the room. The hotel were really helpful with questions/communication prior to arriving. The room was perfect, traditional wooden cabin style with everything you need, cosy with huge extra blankets and an electric fire to keep warm in the cooler evenings. The staff at the hotel were amazing, and incredibly help and accommodating.. they did some emergency washing for us, let our little girl help out feeding the hummingbirds in the garden etc. The breakfast included was very good!! You can really tell it’s a warm and welcoming family run business. One of the best places we’ve stayed in Costa Rica and we’ve been coming here for 12 years. Highly recommended!!

Had a fabulous breakfast at the restaurant. It was the best gallo pinto I had the entire trip. The hotel room, however, was less than fabulous. The walls were thin, and there was no window. Our room was adjacent to the restaurant, and a speaker was mounted on the other side of our wall. It played loud music late into the evening, including after the restaurant was closed, keeping us awake. The staff were also noisy. You could clearly hear every truck and motorcycle that passed all night long, and the bed was not comfortable enough to compensate. The hot water in the shower only worked in 5 minute intervals. You had to shut it off and wait for it to warm up again.

Staying at Peace Lodge but wanted to get off property for a good meal, we were told about El Churrasco and it did not disappoint. Our dinner was excellent and would highly suggest it! The Patacones were delicious as were my fajitas. Our toddler loves ethnic foods and loved the children's typical dinner. We did not stay at the hotel, so I can't speak on that, but our meal was delicious.

The hotel is quite good in terms of value for money.
It has a very good location to see the Poas. For me it is comfortable for the first or last night in such a way that it is not too far from the airport and the next morning you are 10 minutes from Poas, it is not even very far from the La Paz Falls

We actually selected it because we confused the property with Chubascos.
The restaurant itself is good, spacious, clean, fair prices and the quality of the food is very good. 9 out of 10.
The hotel itself is extremely small, cramped, it has no green areas, many rooms lack any view and all the rooms are next to or in front of each other, and the other guests pass right in front of your door, privacy is very low.
The place itself is not bad, but for a demanding customer it is clearly in debt.

Excellent food, made with fresh ingredients and a homemade taste. Service was perfect and a family of four, with children included, left the place very satisfied. Not as crowded as other restaurants in the area, but definitely a hidden gem worth of the end of a lovely day trip.

Hello, thank you for writing us about the transportation from the airport to our hotel. There are two options. The first one shows a taxi from the ones at the airport and the cost is approximately $ 25 or through UBER THAT WILL COLLECT YOU AROUND $ 18. And here we do not have transportation service but there are taxes for the area that charge $ 25 round trip
