We had two different tenderloins here- one with a cheese sauce and the other with a tomato sauce. Both were delicious. The place felt a little over priced considering the food and portions but we certainly did not leave hungry. Ended dinner with a cup of coffee that was delicious and brewed in the Costa Rican fashion (Wish I had photos of everything but we were too hungry when we got there!). There was a language barrier that made it more difficult to order and for wine selection however this is a risk you take when you go to another country and you do not speak their language! Our waitress tried her hardest to communicate with us and did a wonderful job.
Room was clean and really nice. I would recommend to ask for a room on first floor since the view in the morning is amazing. Typical breakfast was great and stuff is really friendly. They helped us with the reservation for Póas volcano and
My family booked the location last minute because we realized we needed to stay near the airport to catch a morning flight. We were so pleased! The rooms are so cute and cozy...they even have little electric fireplaces! The shower was so warm and the water pressure was amazing. The surrounding area is lovely. I recommend walking to buy candies or strawberries at the surrounding stores. I wish we had stayed longer in the region. The staff were also very friendly and accommodating.
We were a bit hungry but not too much. I ended up having the pork ribs and the wife had a salad, thank goodness for the olive oil n balsamic that everyone seems to use now! Also we shared a delicious pumpkin soup, really nice and warmed us up from the chilly rain. They brought pickled jalapenos and a spicy garlic sauce, wow, delicious again. My ribs were done really nice, no BBQ sauce for me, I like the flavor of pork without the sweet sauce. Black mashed beans were really good too with a hint of garlic. Wife's salad was good too. All really GOOD. Waitress was great We'll be back
Very basic accommodation, motel like, simple but clean rooms. Simple tasty breakfast. Friendly personnel. But the price is too high - for a little bit more you can get a LOT better accommodations in Costa Rica. In my opinion it should cost half of what they charge.
