Detailed Reviews
Hotel that basically is how people think we live in Fiji A hut by the ocean with your basic necesitties. Room was clean quite tiny wouldnt recommend if your looking for abit of space as theres barely any room to split beds apart. The TV only had 1 decent channel working which i thought was ridiculous. Bathroom has one tiny bar soap and a small shampoo bottle worth for 1 shower. Hair Dryer wasnt working in the room also, but they did have a iron and board which was very handy. Hotel grounds are well maintanied and so are the buildings which is great in comparison to Intercon next door who cant even replace roof shingles. (typical Fiji short fix)
The Pool is okay and the 1 person kayaks have their tug rope damaged so you cant pull them to the water yourself or needed someone to help you carry them to the beach (just seemed like decoration instead of being usable) the 2 person kayaks were fine thou. Staff were all great and so was sleep quality. The Hotel is inbetween the two public beach areas so you do have enough beach space to enjoy without fuss. Didnt try Breakfast cos its the earliest breakfast finish ive seen in all my hotel stays 9.30 is early most people who stay in hotels want to sleep in. Checkout was early at 10am also the earliest checkout time ive experienced. Seems like they like everything early here

1. I love the relaxing, homey and cozy vibe that the resort has. I had to attend a conference at nearby hotel, and every afternoon I looked forward coming back to my room and to the resort to escape work.
2. The staff were professional, friendly and approachable. I've been to many hotels around Fiji but I've never come across hotel staff workers this far that were both down-to-earth, professional and approachable. Being a local guest, they even serenaded us with a song to welcome us to the resort.
3. I do photography work when I'm not working, and I have attached a few pictures of the beach (which is literally a few meters away from your room). It was also so therapeutic for me to hear waves crashing onto the shore: I spent some time journaling on the beach as well.
4. Food: I loved their food selection especially the prawns with ginger stuff, chow mein and desserts!
5. My sisters, who had accompanied me, enjoyed the facilities on the resort and really liked how the pool was clean and empty (they spent several hours there).
Overall rating: 7⭐ rating for Yatule

Natadola has got to be THE BEST beach on Viti Levu. Hidden away between Nadi and the Coral coast.
We have stayed at Yatule Resort Natadola many many times over the past 5 years and each time has been better than the last. The bures are small but perfect. Modern and tastefull with all you need..plus aircon.. all with a view. The pool is small but you have that beautiful beach.
Food is good and reasonably well priced but if you have transport, there are other options not far and of course you also have the Intercontinental right next door.
Plenty of things to do both in and out of the water and Eco Trax a short drive to Cuvu is definitely a MUST DO.
Yatule staff are well trained and excellent at their jobs and in making you feel like a welcome part of the place..
The spa at Yatule is very well.priced and certainly value for money.
This place is definitely an excellent choice for couples or groups of adults wanting something a little more authentic and private.
A caution for drinkers.. not just at Yatule but all over Fiji..alcohol os expensive at resort prices...even in our Covid times.. so if you are able and its permitted, bring your own alcohol.

The location is beautiful and we liked the feel of a smaller intimate resort like this, but overall we were disappointed with our stay here.
It seems like it was a great resort years ago, but they've really slacked on the maintenance and service.
The bures are cute, but not well looked after - in ours the both the safe & TV did not work, one of the ceiling lights was popped out, the screen door has a huge hole in it, and there as a wasps nest between one of the window & blinds. The lounge chairs on the beach & by the pool seemed decades old and sever were broken.
The plus side is that the view was great, beds were comfy & there was AC.
However the beach was full of debris. There was a storm the week before we arrived, but we were there 4 nights and we didn't see them even attempt to clear a path to the water for guests to walk to once.
The food seemed very cheap, especially the breakfasts and they didn't make any effort to accomodate my dietary restrictions until our last day (after I finally complained to our travel agent & they stepped things up).
The staff were nice, but it seems like the management & standards were really lacking when it comes to overseeing maintenance, food & service. It was sad to see.
The saving grace was that it was next to the Intercontinental & we were able to eat most of our meals there. The food & service was night & day compared to here.
This resort has the potential to be great if they see the potential & turn it around one day. Until then I would not recommend this place.

We planned on staying only 2 nights but were very happy with the service that we stayed an extra night. The food was really good, and priced fairly for what you get.We heard that the chef came over from India and noticed that the Indian food is not the same taste as what we are used to getting locally and were very impressed ,especially with the tandoori chicken which I didn’t remember to take a photo of:(
If you’re into animals like we are their was a very well mannered cat and 3 friendly doggos roaming around. The room was clean and tidy, no complaints there except that the TV channels didn’t seem to play? But we weren’t bothered by it because we were often out surfing and walking about.Overall a really good experience.

The best thing about this resort was that it was in a great location, on a beautiful beach. We were in a beachfront Bure which was only about 10m from the beach.
However the property itself could have been better. The food at breakfast was not good and there was only one restaurant with the same menu every day, with no local food, only Chinese, Indian and Western. There are no other restaurants in the immediate area within walking distance (Intercontinental next door was not allowing outsiders to dine in their restaurants).
The water temperature in the shower was temperamental and one day our aircon stopped working and the maintenance guy had no idea how to fix it and had to call the manager who just checked the fuse box. The wifi stopped working in the last 2 days of our stay and even when it was working it was very slow. The pool bar was not operational and the service was generally very slow in the bar and restaurant (it usually took 30 mins or more to get a drink).
The resort activities were very disorganised and we missed snorkelling one day as we were misinformed by the manager about where it was taking place.
A positive aspect was that the guests were mostly young couples or groups and there were very few families with children. The other guests were friendly and would socialise and have drinks with others they had just met in the pool or the bar which created a nice vibe.

Yatule a very quiet resort along a beautiful Natadola beach. Which allows the resort to have amazing views from everywhere you look!
Like Stated in previous reviews it was upsetting that any extra activities (eg kayaking, surf hire) was at an extra cost.
The rooms were good. I wouldn’t say amazing but they had everything you need and you spend time in there purely to shower and sleep and the beds and showers were great so all in all a great place to stay.
It should be noted that the restaurant has limited meals and because there are no nearby restaurants or towns you either eat there or at intercontinental(which only takes card so you have a surcharge every meal)
It would be good to have a menu that rotates throughout the week.
The people are fantastic and are so kind and welcoming.
We had a very relaxing stay at Yatule and would recommend to those who are looking for a HIRT getaway with relaxation and sun on the agenda.

Bula vinaka Thank you for your comments and review. We believe the options of a western, Asian & Tandoori restaurant offers guests a good choice of menu items but we will take your comment on board. We are situated on the ebst beach on the mainland and if you are looking for relaxation we are the right choice! vinaka John

We stayed at Yatule from 25.8 to 1.9, 2022. We arrived late due to flight delays, so we had missed dinner and were starving. Despite everything already being closed up, the staff who were packed and ready to leave, went back into the kitchen to make us some toasted sandwiches so we didn't go hungry. Our only complaint was the personality of the night reception, he was quite rude and seemed put out by us arriving late. We were later told that that is 'just him' and he is known to be rude.
In the morning, our first impressions were of course just amazed by the stunning beach right at our doors. We stayed in beachfront bures, which meant we could sit on our decks and not just hear the ocean, but see it! The view was spectacular. The bures themselves have seen better days, they could do with a little TLC. Particularly the outdoor furniture, which really needs replacing. It wouldn't take much to put some shade cloth over the decks also, which would mean they could be used at anytime of the day.
The mattresses were the other letdown, I've been back home almost 2 weeks now and am still having back issues from how hard the mattress was. Even a nice mattress topper would help.
The highlights include the beach, the majority of the staff (special mention to Luka, Douglas and Margaret, who were all exceptional and really added to our stay!), and the food was some of the best meals I've ever had.
The pool was also lovely, but we were dissapointed that the pool bar was out of action and that this hadn't been communicated to us prior, or even at check in.
Next time we will definitely arrange to get supplies from town before arriving, as you really are secluded once at the resort, and if, like us, you have no plans to go anywhere else, it is a fair hike to get to a supermarket for water, snacks and drinks etc, if you're not wanting to pay resort prices. That's probably another thing for the bar to consider stocking a small array of bar snacks, chips, nuts etc, as we definitely would have purchased some in the afternoon while sipping on our cocktails.
All in all, we loved our stay and have made the decision to be annual guests at Yatule. It is the perfect resort to do absolutely nothing but relax, which is exactly what we needed. Thankyou Yatule, we will be back!!!

This is a perfect spot to come for relaxation. peaceful work, romantic getaway, whatever you want it to be. Very friendly staff (as are all Fijians). Good food (there's always a curry on the menu), happy hour at the bar every evening, right on the beach, decent WiFi in public areas (extra charge for use in room), tour desk. Minifridge, tea/coffee facilities. It's about 1 hour drive from the Nadi airport. It might be a good idea to rent a car, otherwise you depend on tours and taxis to get around. Very good value for money. Would go back any time. Slight problem: poor sound isolation from the adjoining unit in the bungalow.

This resort shines brightly amongst others due to its location, beach and friendly welcoming staff. If you are looking for a relaxing beach holiday, then this is the place. Beautiful sand beach for swimming with just enough reef at either end of thebay for snorkelling. I did not have the highest expectations after reading previous reviews. If you want perfection, stay at the Intercontinental next door. Sheets and towels were good, bure we stayed in was spotless, plenty of activities were offered such as snorkelling each morning, volleyball, fire shows at night etc.. The food was very good, a special thank you to Ana who ensured my meals catered to allergies. I will definately bu bak... love it here!!

Hi, the staff are great there and will have a place for you to put your luggage if room is not ready. Then you can enjoy the activities until your room is ready.
No, the tide doesn’t go out too far. Great snorkelling between the two resorts so you don’t need a boat to take you far out.
Bula
Our meals are reasonably priced as highlighted above. With 3 cuisines available, Western, Asian & Tandoori you won't go hungry!
Vinaka
Yatule is a great location for a honeymoon. The beach is perfect for swimming in clear water as well as long romantic beach walks.
Its perfect for sunsets and there are various day trips that can be organized through the tour desk.
I would recommend the Beachfront Deluxe rooms which are larger than the standard beachfront rooms and only a 10 second walk to the beach.

John
